| 1247 | Lynne Logan | I am sorry for your loss,For I have also lost a loved one to a Drunk Driver.My older brother Jackie was hit and left to die like a animale on the side of the road one night back in 1988 while he was only crossing the street to come home,It happened right at the corner of my street to,and to top it off the driver who wich by the way was speeding down the street in a stolen car with possecion of cokecain and pills only had to serve 6 months for killing a 20 year old who was my best friend as well as my brother..See we lived in Dorchester ma,when Whitey Bulger still was around to rule South Boston with his crime lords and apparently the kid who stole the car and killed my brother had family doing Whitey's dirty work so of course they knew someone who got him this deal..So 6 months seemed fair to take a life..Now from what I understand,He still gets into trouble and was arrested again,but got released has a wife,home and a little boy..I will never for the life of me understand why someone who has been drinking will get behind the wheel of a car and risk someone elses life not to mention thier own.. So it would be my honor to sign this petition and anyother to get justice for Katie and her unborn son James,and also for my brother Jackie Mackie and try to change these DUI LAWS ,Please let me know if there is anything that I can do over here at my end..Thank you for taking the time to even start this.I really hope to see a change..You are in my prayers..God Bless. |
