Katie's Law- Harsher punishment for drunk drivers

The petition

On April 22, 2006 Katie DiSessa and her unborn son James David Rousseau Jr. were killed by a drunk driver. I am starting a petition to get some of the DUI laws changed. Laws NEED TO BE tougher. People are getting away with far too much these days when it comes to DUI's. We are still looking into the exact terms and conditions under Katie's Law, but all I can say is that it will not allow drunk drivers in the state of MA, or any state for that matter, get away with as much. It has been over a year and there is STILL no justice in the case. I am sick of judges sitting around twiddling thier thumbs and waiting forever to give punishment to someone being charged with manslaughter, and then when they do give a punishment, its not nearly enough AT ALL. I will be sending this petition, a long with a final proposal for "Katie's Law" to the governors office.
