51 Kate and Michael HannonThis is absolutely outrageous!! No teacher, and we mean, NO teacher has the right to deny a child access to a restroom. We hope that this teacher answers to the board of education and higher for what has been done. God Bless You, Kayla and tell your mommy to keep fighting the good fight.
52 Monica BiceThis saddens me to no end. It happens too much. Beautiful, voiceless children being abused by the very people employed to nurture them. I know the sickness that this brings to parents. My beautiful, non-verbal autistic daughter came home from school on numerous occasions with handmarks on her arms. The school repeatedly denies they have done harm. The district has done an independant functional behavior assessment, and the bruises have stopped, for almost 2 months now. But they never investigated, never found who left the bruises, and the school made me feel as though I were crazy, and making it all up. Thankfully, pictures don't lie- http://s198.photobucket.com/albums/aa306/monicabice/documentation/ I am just afraid that it may happen again. The abuse of our beautiful children NEEDS TO STOP!

64 Walter H. SelfNo child, regardless of color of skin, deserves to to beaten, choked, or otherwise abused at the hands of school officials. Shame on them, and what will they tell their maker on judgement day?
65 Karen HolmeMy own school/District fights me on a daily basis on providing what my special child needs. It's time for ALL SCHOOLS to follow the law!
66 Loreine WynneI am a parent to 2 wonderful teenagers on the spectrum. My oldest has Aspergers and now is homeschooled due to the Public schools were not looking out for his well being. I am so sorry to hear about Kayla's abuse. I understand your pain.

70 Sharon P. HollimanWhen I met Little Kayla, she pulled on my heartstrings so strongly, as if she was my own child. I knew God had sent us to Kayla's mother for a reason, and I have been going stronger every since that day. Thanks Theresa for Never giving up. You gave me & my family Strength to FIGHT ON!!! Justice Will Prevail one way or the other. God bless yours and All families that have been Rittled by the Bullets of Hate, as Mine has too! Love A Lots!!!
71 Angela AtwoodWhat has happened to these kids is horrible. There needs to be something done about it. These kids have done nothing to deserve this.
72 donna simsI believe all of this because when my daughter was in special ed she was locked in a dark closet just barely big enough for her tiny body at age 6.

82 DeborahHow dare you people lay a hand on a child. ANY child. Come up north (I am from PA) and learn that civil rights violations would be the least of your worries. Here we know how to deal with ignorant, mean assholes like you. It's called Smith and Wesson. May you all (those who caused the abuse and those who sat by and did nothing to punish the abusers) burn in the pits of HELL!!!!

84 Malek K. EdwardsI am Kayla's big brother. I witnessed my baby sister coming home crying all the time, days where I had to be careful when I picked her up because the bruises were so bad on her. I saw the bruises to the other little girl Jessica. What they did to my sister or to the other children should NEVER be tolerated in our world.
85 Angela HoodMy 7yr old child with autism was also abused in a Jackson County Georgia elementary school. Again, no charges were ever filed. My prayers are with Ms. Edwards and her child. May God give you the strength to stand strong and endure. While it is challenging to wait for judgement day, rest assured that God sees all.
86 James BurrowJessica and Kayla suffered together. Now they will stand toether. I ask you all to stand with them. Jessica's Father

93 Victoria ButcherI am fighting a battle right now. My 5-yr old little girl has adhd, and last tuesday the teachers aide got mad because my daughter didnt wash her hands. The teacher pulled my daughters hair so hard she fell to the floor. I cant believe this is happening!
