Tyler QuinnWhen you go and buy a substance at a GNC, you should be fine. If it is legal to sell you should be able to take it. If tey want to suspend him it shoud be 10 games at maxium. They should go after theplayers that used steroids and got illegal drugs from other countries (A- Rod). I think the MLB is mad that the Phillies won the World Series. This the worst thing the MLB has done since I have been alive. Romero should sue.

derek GI CANT BELIEVE THIS HAS NOT BEEN DISMISSED OR DRASTICALLY REDUCED ESPECIALLY AFTER THE A-FRAUD ERRRRRR ROD INCIDENT , AND HOW MANY GAMES IS HE OR THE OTHER 103 PLAYERS GETTING THATS RITE ZERO!!!!! THIS REALLY BLOWS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Stephen DymondJC Romero should not have been suspened. Let him play. Baseball wants to ban over the counter products they should all be tested by baseball and a list given to players of the products they cant use. Put Romero back on the mound.
Angela AuddinoLift the suspension!!!

AnonymousI[ve been following the Phillies since 1946. Been through many a down year. Been through many disciplinary actions by various Commisioners and I do believe that the discipline given to J. C. Romero to be grossly unfair. Some discipline - yes. 50 games - no.

Brian NwabaraThis is nuts, because a guy went to the GNC store and bought a supplement, he even asked certified people if it was safe to take. Its funny because Andy Pettite, Giambi, and whoever can say "Yeah i took steriods and they dont get any punishment, but JC gets 50 games not for steroids, but for Neglagence

TOM MCHUGHI thinks it is very unfair especially in the light of what A-rod has done

AnonymousREDICULOUS
AnonymousThis was absolutely unfair that JC was made an example of for such a contraversial issue where steroid were really not prevelant in the product he used and it was not clear that it was even banned when he used it. This suspension in bogus and should be repealed!
AnonymousBud Selig is a f*cking c*nt!
Charlie InguiHe has been forthright in his statements. This suspension is far too extreme considering all the questions relating to other players in both leagues.

niles commissoI think this is grossly unfair. All of the players who tested positive have gone unpunished and they new what they were doing was wrong. If there are over the counter supplements that are banned I fee that MLB should make the list available to these players. Romero is a baseball player not a chemist.
Matt PileggiOnce you suspend A-rod for 50+ games then go ahead and suspend Romero
Matthew FallsRomero makes an honest mistake and gets suspended 50 games, while A-Fraud admits his steroid use and keeps his $250 million... Sounds about right for a league with Bud Selig in charge.
Ryan McClintockInstead of going after a guy who did the right thing, try going after that scumbag A-Roid.
