| 155 | Lidia Pasamanick | The Ingersoll Mansion and its grounds are the only bits of beauty in that intersection. |
| 156 | Barbara J. Kerr | We ABSOLUTELY DO NOT need another strip mall of any kind any where in the Capital District. We have destroyed so much of our heritage and history already. Once gone, this lovely home and beautiful park land will be gone forever. Please, please do not let this happen. |
| 157 | Jessie Malecki | Joann Hangst I admire you for writing your article to the Gazette.
It is so ridiculous to get rid of a building which has historical value. There is no reason that this bldg. could not be registered as Historic. There is a street (Morris Ave.) in Schenectady which is more than a mile away from the Stockade and yet because of some of the homes there, it was made an historic street.
In Schenectady there were bldgs. which were destroyed because ignorant people did not consider the historic value of same. An example is the house that Stenmetz lived in - knocked down and a placque put in its place. What a crying shame.
Let us NOT LET THIS HAPPEN TO THE STANFORD HOME! There are already too many Malls . Keep fighting!!!! |
| 158 | Dorothy M. Foley | We don't need a mall at this site. Let's get moving on the Nott St mall site and fill it's spaces.
Mohawk Commons serves us well. The Nott St. site could fill up any other mall needs we may have. |
| 159 | Diane McNamara | Save history and beauty-it's why we moved to Niskayuna |
| 160 | Helen Quirini | Leave this great property the way it is. It is a irreplaceable treasure. Helen Quirini |
| 161 | Anonymous | Colonie took the Pruyn House and turned it into a history/cultural education center. Could Niskayuna do something similar with the Ingersoll-Stanford building rather than destroy it? Another shopping mall is not the answer. |
| 162 | nancy J. Peterson | Just Another Strip Mall is not a bright vision of the future of Niskauna. Why destroy something unique and distinctive for Just Another Strip Mall, making Niskayuna look junky? There are plenty of places already, right in Niskayuna, where we can buy the products available at malls. |

| 165 | Robert Woods | This is a beautiful piece of property from both an architectural and green space point of view. It would be a terrible thing to miss the opportunity to preserve this site for future generations. It is strategically located to welcome people to Niskayuna and Schenectady. As so much of our natural landscape is consumed by development city officials should recognize the need to preserve some areas of green space to balance the increasing landscape of parking lots and buildings. This would set a precident to our future generations that the bottom line of our collective consciousness wasn't short term financial gain, but long term quality of life in support of truly livable communities. This would be a long term vision that would actually prove to be more financially beneficial to the community. |
| 166 | Beverly M Elander | Please do the right thing and preserve this glorious old structure. |
| 167 | J-D WOOD | There is much value to all of us....ALL OF US in the region....saving historic areas and drawing in tourist with open wallets. I have ideas for better uses of those lands and structures....better then the uglyness of more comercial big and little boxes crapping up our lives. |
| 168 | Jennifer Wells | Surely, this beautiful hillside is more valuable with the stately residence and century trees intact and serving as a community asset than as some cookie cutter, big box, chain store awash in a sea of asphalt! I know... how about Schenectady county buying it for use as their new court building? |
| 169 | Levi Boren | |
| 170 | Jane Alberts | Please preserve this wonderful Property. We certainly don't need another mall! |
| 171 | elizabeth petta | please do not ruin one of the lovliest corners in our county by going through with plans to raise the stanford mansion and issue a special use permit for the 12.5 acres of land at the ne corner of union street and balltown road.
sincerely,
beth petta

| 174 | Susan S. Wright | The Ingersoll home/Stanford mansion and property are worth saving as community treasures. There are plenty of other sites more suitable for malls, if a real need can be determined. |
| 175 | Janice Fitzpatrick | This is a beautiful piece of property that is unique. Please be more creative. We DO NOT need more stores. |

| 178 | Michael Allen Potter | Keep the trees where they are and put the stores downtown on State and Jay Streets where they belong. |
| 179 | Mary Ann Malkiewicz | I owned the home on the corner of Stanford Ave and State St, and grew up there, My son now ownes the home and we do not want to see any more malls or other business there. ABed and Breakfast would be wonderful, the inside of the home is lovely and should be kept so. |

| 182 | Richard O. Weber | This acreage must become a public park, in order to maintain this green space at this location. |
| 183 | Anonymous | I want the Ingersol-Stanford historic home and grounds saved for generations to come. It is one of the few truly magnificent entities left in our part of the country. We do not need another shopping area....to allow one is shameless! |
| 184 | Ronald Atkins | |
| 185 | Jane and Bruce Tatge | We have been in this building many times, visiting a resident of the Ingersoll Home, and feel strongly that it should be preserved on its present foundation without addition of unrelated businesses. |

| 194 | Katharine Atkins | It's a real shame, that you're willing to demolish apart of our history. Our history is what makes us apart of who we are today. Our ancestors, created what we have. We don't have a lot of history left, we're barely taught anything on our history in school. We have so much about American history, and we should keep our history, to help teach those who want to learn. |
