We call upon residents of Illinois and friends elsewhere to join us in backing this petition.
We strongly urge you to consider enacting the following in the state of Illinois:
1) Minimum punishment of 1-2 years drivers license suspension for traffic rule violators in any accident involving death or serious injury
2) Drivers remedial training courses for all traffic offenders (whether or not the violation resulted in injury or death)
3) Higher fines for speeding
4) Limit cellphone use by drivers
We hope that legislation can be taken to improve the safety and well being of all Illinois residents now and into the future. |
