I have enjoyed watching them play in person or on TV and listened to their games on the radio from day one. The joy this team has brought to my life and many that I know is priceless. Houston needs the Comets for the sport of women's basketball and for the young people in the city to look up to and learn from the players, as well as for those of us that just love the sport and the Comets.
Houston has always been a sports oriented city, always supporting new sports organizations and standing behind the ones that have been a part of our city. Please don't let the Comets leave our city. Show them that they do have a home here and that are part of this city and it's sports community! |

It's a great place to meet your friends and to enjoy some great basketball. The women have been outsstanding. It would be a great lost to the city to lose this wonderful team.

As a founding fan of the Seattle Storm I can appreciate the concern that the community, team and league have with the prospect of losing a beloved and successful sports team. Further, as a women's professional team, of which there are very few, we must consider the message such a sale will telegraph. Women and our communities need to step up and care for those who have given so much. The Comets have lead the league in so many ways and they should be rewarded by keeping them home! It can be done and I encourage you to consider every option, turn over every stone and even contact the new Storm owners to discuss how they 'did it'. It can be done! Don't give up, don't give in!!!! |
