Andy The Punk needs a bit of convincing to try marijuana. He asked me to come up with some reasons, and 420 signatures supporting my reasons.
Reason 1. Smoking pot is a rite of passage. While I believe it is a very BAD idea to become a lifelong pothead, it is a wonderful thing to do while you're in college, provided it doesn't take over your life. Presidents do it, rock stars do it, the fry cooker at your local McDonald's is probably doing it right now. Wait, bad example.
Reason 2. Cultural context. Andy is works in radio and comedy, and the more cultural touchstones he can experience, the larger his joke pool will be.
Reason 3. Stoner Fluxx, the coolest card game ever.
Reason 4. Actually experiencing marijuana for oneself sublty shifts your political outlook. If the conservative right is spending all this time and money demonizing such a nifty (and mostly harmless) thing, what's really going on?
Reason 5. By the way, just so we're clear, all those rumors about marijuana killing brain cells were just propoganda (Check WebMD if you're doubtful). Many recent studies confirm that light to moderate use has no long term effect. Just don't do anything high you wouldn't do drunk (i.e. drive, attempt to pick your little sister up from school).
Reason 6. Dude! It's fun! Now pass the Cheetos and let's watch some cartoons.
DISCLAIMER: This petition is not an attempt to coerce the unwilling into sampling illegal drugs. To try or not to try marijuana is a grave and personal decision, and should be treated with respect. If this petition gathers 420 signatures and Andy still isn't sure, he'll be released from this arrangement.
FURTHER DISCLAIMER: No Smoking will take place until the prohibition against marijuana is lifted. |

I'm just a happy comedian/college student living in the Midsouth, trying to change the machine as best I can. |
