Many residents of Haverford Township have expressed an interest in converting the old railroad bed that runs East to West through the township into a multi use trail. Benefits would include: reduction of the traffic problems; creation of a safe place for all members of the community to commute and exercise; provide a safe path to the proposed recreational facilities at the Haverford State Hospital site; encourage healthy living; and ultimately make Haverford Township a more desirable place to live.
We will be sending this petition to all those who have have expressed an interest in a safe place to exercise and an alternate means of commuting through the township. We ask that they forward the petition to their neighbors, friends, and township officials to build support for this goal. |

We are Biketopia, a new bicycle shop in Havertown, and we have received many requests to look into promoting the development of this trail through Haverford Township. We would be glad to support this initiative and act as a point of contact for members of the community to support this goal.
