glen | silverthorn | CA | I interviewed Mr. Best at a concert given by the Pete Best Band in Brantford Ontario and discovered him to be a fine gentleman and great drummer. This should definitely happen. Good luck!
| 412 | Chazz | Avery | US | To exclude Pete Best would be a terrible error. As evidenced by my website "The Savage Young Beatles", Pete was much more involved with The Beatles' Hamburg days than was Stu Sutcliffe and even Ringo Starr. When I think of The Beatles in Hamburg, I think of Pete not Ringo.

Anonymous | Anonymous | DE | Pete certainly belongs in this statue! He was THE drummer of the "Hamburg Beatles"! - Ken Wood
jon | Possiel | US | Do not omit Pete Best. Hisotry shows that he played more times in Hamburg with the beatles than either Stuart Sutcliffe or Ringo Starr.
Tobias | Wolf | DE | Ringo is the better drummer, but Pete was in Hamburg with the pre-fab four!

Robert | Bradshaw | US | Personally, I believe that if any statue is erected it should include Pete Best, Stu Sutcliffe AND Ringo. He was there too! Let Hamburg show ALL the Beatles that were there.

Richard | Dickie | US |
Stacia | Marlett | US | It was Pete who played with John, Paul, and George in Hamburg. If you include Stuart Sutcliff, you must include Pete. This is a disgrace. He played over 1,000 shows as a Beatle, and deserves ample recognition for it.

| 434 | Susanne | Finsch | DE | If there is Stuart also with John, Paul and George I think it's unfair to ignore Pete.
I think it's better you make sculptures of John, Paul, George and Ringo
or John, Paul, George, Stu and Pete (maybe with Pete AND Ringo)? |
Andrew | Konushin | RU | They deserves it. And Hamburg deserve it.
Peter | Rothenbacher | DE | There should be 6 Beatles include Pete and Ringo. Both of them were on drums in Hamburg after each other
Anonymous | Anonymous | US | The idea for this statue is wonderful. Please do the 'right' thing and include John, Paul, George, Stuart, and PETE.

adrian | nitito | NO |
Daniel | Ribeiro | PT | I would acept The Beatles without Ringo but not without Pete
James | Brady | US | To not include Pete Best and have Ringo is a historical atrocity. This is history and you need to get it right.
Scott | Perry | US | It's great - but if Stuart Sutcliffe is part of this, then Pete Best should be as well! Most Beatle fans prefer the truth rather than revisionism; it's unnecessary and insensitive, as well as cruel to Mr. Best.
Scott | Weber | US |
Enrico | Lucon | IT | Stuart and not Pete???? How can this be???
Anonymous | Anonymous | US | Don't forget about Pete!
Armando | Sanchez Rueda | MX | Pete must be considered, He´s also a fifth Beatle.
Kevin | Chambers | UK | If there is room for Stuart there is room for Pete - Why not have the original Hamburg line up together John, Paul, George, Stuart & Pete and Ringo off to one side applauding them? Ringo used to go and watch them play and that is how their relationship started so that would be a historically accurate representation. Poor Pete has suffered enough, please don't write him out of Hamburg's great history and add this humiliation to the trauma that he has already had to deal with.
Richard | Novak | US |
Walter | Kunz | US | If Stu Sutcliffe is going to be in the statue, Pete Best should be in the statue. This is history; let's not be revisionist, remember things as they actually were!
