The petition
As it has become clear that Harper Court cannot continue in its current state, the planning process underway gives the community a window of opportunity to tell the city we would like to restore Harper Avenue between 53rd and 52nd streets. Whatever is built to replace the current Harper Court must fit into the neighborhood and restoring the street grid is the first step in this direction. This will not interfere with events such as the Farmers Market. Bringing back the sensible flow of traffic will help to make Hyde Park a more friendly, safer place for shoppers.
