When the UK\'s only Romany Gypsy Magistrate, Shay Clipson tried to stop the bullying of her child, she found the local police reluctant to intervene, even when Shay pointed out that she was a Magistrate and as such she knew there were laws to protect her child. Ms Clipson\'s daughter has been thrown into the traffic amid racist taunts, had cigarettes stubbed out in her hair, she has been spat on, beaten and kicked unconscious on the school playing field while others recorded this on their mobile phones and then posted the assault on YOUTUBE. When Shay Clipson criticised the police for their reluctance to help, and queried why, she found her career as a magistrate ended. It was said that because she raised her involvement with the magistracy and criticised the police it was said \"Ms Clipson cannot be trusted to do her job\". Shay Clipson is one of the few positive role models from the Gypsy community and so it creates a bad impression or president, if when someone from the Gypsy community takes on a role such as Magistrate, they are then rejected at the first opportunity. We ask Gordon Brown, and the Office of Judicial Complaints to reconsider in favour of Shay Clipson. Posted by The Gypsy Council Ltd.
