| 301 | I have been a student since 1999 and I have never ever seen so many classes cancelled in one semester and especially without a letter or notice or anything. As I looked at the board, I was in awe. I showed up for class two weeks in a row and no one showed up to teach. How in appropriate and inconvenient. A lot of CPCS Students attend in the evenings because we are adults (44) with children and jobs. Now I have to attend a day class and take time from work that I have to make up. My supervisor was sympathetic to my situation and gave me a flexible schedule. |

| 303 | As a charter faculty member hired in 1965, retired in 1997, I am not at all surprised to see the so-called "top" administrators deliberately destroying what had been for years the best, most community-oriented part of UMB. The Globe (property of the multi-billion-dollar NY Times corporation) is fulfilling its real role, to help thwart true popular education. They are pimping for the ruling big-money interests, and of course the UMB administration is in the same camp -- no surprise. Unless students, faculty and the community act to seize control of decision-making within the institution itself, nothing will change and the servants of the dominat financial interests will continue on their own program, modeling themselves on the power-and-money-driven U.S. government. Without real actions you will lose. |

| 347 | I am concerned that this very important institution is being destroyed because, in the words of the petition, it is "simply too black, too poor, too female, too gay, too old and too disabled to be worthy of concern..." I cannot imagine that similar steps taken to dismantle other Boston area colleges would be similarly ignored. |
