Petition for the Removal
Of the LISD Board of Trustees
And the LISD Superintendent of Schools
To: Texas Education
Agency, School Governance Department, Attn: Office of Commissioner of
Education,
We the undersigned hereby petition the Texas Education
Agency, School Governance Department and the Commissioner of Education to
investigate and take immediate and sincere action towards the removal the LISD
Board of Trustees, and the LISD Superintendent
Furthermore, we the
signers of this Petition make the following resolutions to this regard:
We the
undersigned resolve to: wholeheartedly
support any action that may be legally taken by the Citizens of Laredo, Texas
in conjunction with the Texas Commissioner of Education and the Texas Education
Agency that would ultimately result in the removal of the current LISD School
Board and its current Superintendent.
We the
undersigned are resolved: in our belief
that the Laredo Independent School District School Board of Trustees has caused
irreparable damage to the collective psyche of the community of
We the
undersigned are resolved: in our belief
that the recent shortfall of $6,000,000.00, flagrant out of town escapades,
plagiarism by the Superintendent, and the shameful demotions, and firings of
key personnel are just the tip of the iceberg as to the tyrannical manner in
which this District is being run.

undersigned are resolved: citizens and or
residents of
We the
undersigned are resolved: in our
understanding that a petition in and of itself cannot serve to have a board
removed and we furthermore understand that serious action takes time and
serious consideration by the TEA and the State of
We the
undersigned are resolved: in our
understanding that serious action is now under being taken by a group of Laredo
Citizens to this regard.
We the
undersigned are resolved: that if we happen to work for the LISD School
District that we are requesting our names be kept private by the TEA, and the State
of Texas due to the real threat of retaliation by the current LISD Board of
Trustees, and the current Superintendent.
We the
undersigned are resolved: in our
understanding that as signers of this petition our names will not be disclosed
to the Board Members of LISD, LISD Superintendent, nor anyone else involved
with LISD other than TEA and the Commissioner of Education.
We the
undersigned are resolved: in our understanding that for our names to remain
private we must check the privacy box as we sign the petition.
We the
undersigned are resolved: in our understanding that this petition is being
circulated by a group of private Laredo Citizens hereby to be known as the Friends of LISD for Change Committee. We further understand that this committee works
under no charter, keeps no records of any kind, and draws its membership from
the following pool of possible members; current/and or past LISD
Superintendents, Board Members, Principals, Teachers, Taxpayers, and or
Concerned Community Members whom shall remain anonymous due to the real or
perceived threat of retaliation by the current LISD School Board, and its
Superintendent.
A Word of Encouragement To all LISD
Employees Past & Present:
· This is your grand opportunity to speak up and be
counted.
· If you are
tired of being pushed around by a Tyrannical Band of School Board Bullies, then
sign below. It is time for a change.
A Word of Caution to LISD Board
Trustees & Superintendent:
· Any reports of intimidation of current or past
employees regarding their participation or potential participation in this
process will be thoroughly investigated and forwarded to the proper authorities
for potential Federal Prosecution for the Violation of their Civil Rights of
which have been granted to all U.S. Citizens by Constitution of the United
States of America. So please do not
attempt to add Un-American like offenses to your lengthy and constantly
expanding list of transgressions.
