Anonymous | I have delivered 4 babies at the GNGH maternity ward and would be very disappointed for future moms to see this facility close. It is the only one with a birthing tub too!

Sharri Anderson | I have great concern that women could be delivering babies on the side of the road. What about those with no car and no money for taxis. Will the government pay for the ambulance in cases like this?
Nicole Boulet | I have delivered two healthy children at this hospital and really appreiciated the staff, facility and the hospital. Please keep our Mat. open.

Mrs. Josephine Verbraeken | The GNGH maternity ward needs to stay open. Their staff is excellent in providing care and support during birth. I had both my children there and they were very big and healthy babies. I could not see myself going anywhere else.

Carl David Onofrio | Taking care of the medical needs of Canadians is too important of a part of the Canadian identity. This would be harmful to the community, and given the importance of Niagara Falls as a Canadian landmark and world destination we should want to have Canada represented properly.
Ron Smith | I feel the NHS are a bunch of overpaid bums, and the recent report of Dr Kitts is the beginning their demise and grossly overpaid for their incompetence

Vivian St.Onge | With living in the biggest tourist area, our hospital should be the largerst and have all wards, cutbacks should start at the top that is where the money is wasted, a lot of people talking and getting paid for it....
Anonymous | I gave birth to my daughter there, I dont want to see this part of the hospital be gone! please do your best!
Jason Fleming | How can it be that I am not only proud to have my son born at GNGH but very lucky and thankful not only that I could get there in 5mins but the staff had the a serious situation under control quickly . Now I will have to seriously consider my options as we think about adding to our family because if I had to drive to the west side of St.catharines that evening we may not have been so lucky and Thankful. Unfortunalty the people who are making this decision are not the ones who will have to deal with it. MEANING ASK THE MOTHERS AND MOTHERS TO BE WHAT THEY NEED .....NOT WHAT OUR BUDGET NEEDS . THANK YOU TO EVERYONE WHO HAS SIGNED THIS>

| 1144 | Wendy Tomlinson | I was born at the GNGH back in 1958, and have had 3 of my children there. My one child was born premature and the neo-natal unit was phenomenal in the care they gave both myself and my preemie.
So you want to take away the services because childbirth is unpredictable? So is our Government. Should we be considering the same scenario for them? They have not been within budget for years either. Shame on you for trying to undo that which took several years to put in place. |

Maria Canzoneri | This is so ridiculous, are we becoming a 3rd world country? The region has grown immensely. Women will deliver on highways, in cars, in garages, under trees, in fields. How about your troubled pregnant teens? How about safety issues ? Is this the picture you want for the Niagara Region?
