| 3054 | Kate Blount | Scientists and medics NEED to be allowed to put forward radical hypotheses. Otherwise, knowledge never advances. |

| 3065 | Sian Thomas | I am a homeopath and have seen a very clear link between vaccination (I think that the DPT etc has a part to play as well) and autism. |
| 3066 | Andrew Vincent | It seems the GMC is turning into a defence committee for the drug companies these days....
I know there are some brilliant orthodox doctors out there who put the patient first,; please let them practice their art and don't penalise them for daring to investigate the causes of illness. |

| 3069 | Anonymous | there will always be dissagreements between 'experts' in the medical field but it is unrealistic for the 'experts' to claim that the MMR vacine, or other environmental influences have no connection to Autism. They cannot know this for sure.
It is clear however that Autism is increasing.
What benefit wil be achieved by threatening doctors who are searching for answers?
These doctors should be assisted in their search.
The ostrich like approach of the medical profession is unethical and of great concern to members of the public like myself, and leads further into distrust of the governing bodies of the medical profession in this country. |

| 3075 | Jan Pike | I work in a Secondary school in the Special Needs Department and we have noticed a significant rise in the number of pupils coming through with autistic spectrum in the past 10-15 years. Hopefully they will get the level of education they need and not all necessarily in main steam schools. Inclusion doesn't suit every child. |
| 3076 | Arjen Pasma | I am a homeopath and I have seen that vaccination can be very poisonous to children. Stop vaccination. |
| 3077 | Nilanthi Kelsey | I agree and fully support the above. |
| 3078 | Anonymous | Why this witchhunt has resulted in this line of enquiry is totally absurd to me and many others. Science is about hypothesizing and raising questions and finding solutions- not trying to gag individuals whose opinions differ. |

| 3098 | Dr Mark Gajda | The GMC is acting irresponsibly in this matter. There is no irrefutable evidence that supports their stance that there is absolutely no link between vaccinations, and the additives they contain, and the rise in autism. For as long as there is risk and doubt the GMC should remain impartial and support anyone who aims to get to the bottom of this matter. I have met Andrew Wakefield and my son has been treated by Simon Murch. I have found both men to have impeccable integrity and unquestionable compassion for their patients.
The GMC is falling prey to political agendas and is launching this witch hunt to be seen to be doing something. In years to come they are likely to be proven wrong as the evidence is mounting that autism is strongly correlated with bowel pathologies. This data is already in the public domain now and is being ignored. Once the balance of evidence tips in favour of the likes of Wakefield and Murch, the great and good of the GMC will have to ask themselves how they could have lived with the shame of looking the other way. |
