I am an intelligent woman and also very cynical and the thought that keeps coming to my mind is that if there was any other illness/disability with an explosion in diagnosed numbers it would be investigated with great urgency so why the hesitancy with autism. Why are doctors being "hushed" why is there a desire to continuously find other excuses such as a greater awareness of the condition. What are we not being told ??? | 2815 | Nick Edwards | Father of a 14 year old autistic son affected by the MMR vaccine,suffered high temperature and severe diarrhoea the day after the vaccine,which lasted 5days he then became constipated and would only open his bowel once a week .He also began to lose the speech he had gained,lost all eye contact from him,became obsessive with light switches turning them on and off,the same with doors opening them and shutting them,all this was 4 weeks after the MMR.My son has no speech and his bowel deteriorated so bad that he had to have a colostomy which was unsuccessful resulting in having to have a ileostomy the whole of his large bowel removed.Although he copes extremely well with his bag it is very hard work my wife is up most nights twice to empty as the output will always be liquid.If doctor's had listened to us sooner our son may not have lost his bowel and had a better quality of life than he has today.
We took our son to thoughtful house so we have had the honour of meeting Dr Wakefield who is a wonderful caring man,he has so much warmth about him,he generally cares and wants to help these sick children,I personally can not thank him enough for what he has done for us,I also would like to thank his wife and children for all the sacrifices they have made over the last few years.

Within 6 days of the the injection in July 1993 ,he had changed from loving swimming and playing in his sand pit, to being on holiday and screaming if we put him near water and would not move off a towel on the beach and touch the sand.
By the November of the same year it was as if someone had taken my beautiful boy with sparkling eyes and given me an alien with the lights turned out. Six years ago I suffered an adverse reaction to the Hepatitis B Vaccination, which I had to have for my work. It has left me disabled with arthritis which effects all my small and large joints and because the government and drug companies deny that the Hepatitis B Vaccination is safe, all the other adults who also suffered adverse reactions and myself hve been left disabled our lives ruined and financially suffering because we are no longer able to work.
Wake up government and drug companies and for once own up to the fact that these vaccinations cause damage and serious illness and disabilities to children and adults, and start looking into the side effects and stop using the public as scapegoats for your mistakes.
