| 53 | Countess of Mar | The medical establishment has a very long history of ignoring what is in front of their eyes because any change to accepted practice would disrupt the status quo - take Parkinson's and MS or, more recently the link between helicobacter pylori and gastric ulcers, for example. Their persecution of colleagues who are prepared to think beyond current medical boundaries is not unusual. Their failure to look beyond their own 'belief systen' means that far too many children are suffering intolerable pain with no relief, and their parents are having to cope, isolated and alone, with the problems their child's condition produces. In their selfish arrogance they seem unable to accept the concept that they are being cruel to both child and parents. |
| 54 | Andrew Pointer | The GMC and DoH need to face up to the fact that there is now a generation of children have been damaged, and vaccines are by far the most likely cause. Autism, asthma and other chronic diseases in children have increased dramatically in the last 10-15 years, coinciding with the increased numbers of vaccines children are given in the developed world. If vaccines are not a key factor, why have the government proscribed any funding into research which may prove a link between MMR and autism? What are they afraid of? If thirmsol (mercury) is not a factor, why was it quietly removed from the 5 in 1 jab that replaced DTP? Why is autism extremely rare in Amish communities who do not vaccinate? Why is it that autism rates in California are beginning to fall - could it be because they were the first state to ban thirmisol from childhood vaccines? Mercury (and aluminium) and known neuro-toxins - the fact that the medical profession has turned a blind eye to their use in childhood vaccines for decades is nothing short of professional negligence. Acquired autism and mercury poisoning have almost identical symptoms, and the attempts to cover up the damage done by thirmisol by the CDC and the DoH will turn out to be the biggest health scandal of modern times. Do the science, and stop persecuting the messengers - Wakefield et al were only asking for more research to be done, while at the same time successfully treating some of these very ill children. The parents of these children consistently say that Dr Wakefield was the first to actually listen and make the children better. Now other doctors in the UK are too scared to even see autistic kids because they saw what happened to Wakefield. Consequently, many hundreds of children remain in severe pain when they could easily be treated. That Wakefield now faces being struck off for making these children better and also raising perfectly legitimate questions about the safety of MMR is a f*cking disgrace. |

| 59 | Glynis Steele | My daughter is tube fed so I can see any reactions when foods are orally introduced. Her (autistic) behaviour worsens every time, even healthy things like fruit cause it. I am currently looking at the Specific Carbohydrate Diet, and when these foods are tried her behaviour does not worsen. Autism with bowel conditions is so under diagnosed it is a national disgrace. Are the professionals involved too scared of what they might find if they examine these childrens bowels? Why are these kids left to suffer in agony? In some cases they can't communicate that they are in pain, and to ignore symptoms like cronic constipation or diarrhea without endoscope exams, tantamounts to medical negligence. Autistic enterocolitis in these kids must be the most ignored and under diagnosed condition in the UK at the present time, and the fact that these children won't get examined chills me to the bone. I hope with all my heart that this petition and others like it force the government and GMC to reconsider their stance, although a I said earlier, it smacks of a "cover up". |

| 62 | nikki evans | stop ignoring the evidence and do something NOW!!!!!!!!! |
| 63 | keda dervishi | I'm a mother of 8 yr. old autistic boy.
We are not asking for the moon on a stick, but we are demanding that governments and health organisations worldwide stop investigating the doctors and start investigating the patients.
Our children do not need medications.
Thanks

| 64 | Sandra Woolley | It is a very uncomfortable truth that vaccines make many children ill. The scientific evidence of bowel disorders in autism is overwhelming.
Our son became very ill after the measles vaccine. He is recovering with treatment.
(Our best wishes to Dr Wakefield and Profs Smith and Murch) |

| 66 | Adam Forrest | I have suffered from the described bowel disorder and autism for 11.5 years, or most of my life. I am now 13 and thanks to the efforts of my mum I have partially recovered. No thanks to any of the doctors in the UK, except Dr. Wakefield, Professor John Walker Smith and Professor Simon Murch, who set me on the road to recovery through testing and identifying the problem. Those whom have caused this terrible illness are now seeking to persecute Dr. Wakefield and others, since they are holding up the mirror. Shame on the medical profession, and shame on the government for allowing drug companies and vested interests the power to corrupt. I will be there in July! |
| 67 | Mrs K Lowney | Autism is treatable. Help is needed to treat medical problems in these children. |
| 68 | Jacqueline Edwards | |
| 69 | Jill Southgate | My grandson is slowly recovering from Autism with great efforts and persistence by his parents using the Son-Rise programme and Biomedical treatments and suppliments for his poisoned body and brain. All very expensive and with no help from NHS. |
| 70 | Stephanie Scott | Please stop the persecution of Andrew Wakefield and his colleagues. The moral imperative is to help our children get well. The rise of autism is a modern catastrophe - we need to recognise it as such and all work together to stop it. By treating the medical problems of children with autism we may help them reclaim their lives - knowing this, how can we refuse to try? |
| 71 | Karen Charman | my 8 year old son has autism. Had I know about the biomedical treatments available when he was diagnosed I could have saved him years of pain. |

| 73 | David Thrower | I very much support this petition. Why has there been no proper investigation of these children? Why has there been no funding of research into their gut and bowel conditions? |

| 84 | Dorothy Macdonald | I, as a parent of an autistic child, demand the right for the government to investigate the links between vaccinations and autism and not to consistently tell the public that there is no link, when it has not even been investigated. Do not make Dr Wakefield and colleagues scapegoats of a pharmaceutical and governmental cover-up. |

| 91 | Wendy Fournier | Dr. Wakefield is a pioneer in autism research and treatment. His work has helped countless children around the globe. |
| 92 | Heather SARZEDAS | Thank you for your efforts, every little may count.
We need help worldwide. |
| 93 | Laura Coughtrie | The government have been trying to supress this reseach for too long - why is that? Could it be because of the power of the large pharmaceutical organisations, are they afraid it might be a bigger scandal than thalidomide? Let us do something about autism now, too many children in this country are suffering. |
