| 24 | Charles R. Donaldson | America has been at war with its neighbors since 1812. I received a Catholic education but only after I was in my 60th year did I learn of the numerous military efforts by my country against other nations. Even here in California military efforts began as early as 1840. This pattern of human behavior has continued and expanded until we have troops in 140 nations and carrying on wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. Why are you silent? Your silence blunts your witness to the Resurrection of Christ!! |

| 44 | vichummert | The military budget for 1945 was $1billion for the year. We are now squandering over $1billion daily & have "never been more insecure in history." (Admiral Noel Gaylor) is an unlikely supporter but why not include him? The best, vic Hummert |

| 49 | JoAnn Consiglieri | I agree with all that you have said. I would also like our Church to speak out on the money that the United States to send the Israeli Government and with that money and their own, they are violating the Palestinian people by the settlements they are building, by the wall that they have erected, by not allowing the Palestinian people who fled Palestine because of the violence of the Israeli gov. and all of the check points that keep the Palestinians with doing their life, going to school, to work, getting medical attention. The Church must listen to what the UN has said to the Israeli Government. Peace much come for the people of Palestine as well. |
