Grad Jajce je posljednih mjeseci potresen raznim nemilim događajima. Gotovo najvažnije institucije, koje održavaju i omogućavaju normalno funkcioniranje grada; Općinski sud, Elektroprivreda, Šumsko-gospodarsko društvo, bolnica, dislocirane su i nisu vise dio našeg grada.
Posljedice ovog čina su i tekako vidljive: stanovnici nekadašnjeg uspješnog regionalnog centra i grada sa bogatom i zavidnom istorijskom prošlošću i neprocjenljivim prirodnim bogatstvima, žive na ivici bijede. Kriminal i korupcija su u stalnom porastu, omladina grada je suočena sa bezperspektivnosču i prepustaju se uticaju svakoraznih narkotika. (Ne)aktivnosti lokalnih političara još samo više pridonosi ovom beznađu.
Neko je rekao da je šutnja isto tako znak slaganja sa situacijom. Ne dozvolimo da šutnja, naša nezainteresovanost i ravnodusnost dozvoli potpuno srozavanje našeg grada! Kao Jajčani dužni smo da na sve moguće načine dignemo naš glas protiv propadanja našeg grada.
Peticija "Spasimo Jajce" je dio Jajce Portala, (ne)oficijelnog portala grada Jajca, čiji je osnovni cilj pokušati pomoći gradu i promijeniti svijest ljudi i vratiti mu bar malo od prijašnjeg sjaja.
Potpisnici peticije zahtijevaju:
- da vlasti u Jajcu kao i vlada Srednjebosanskog kantona učine konkretne mjere po pitanju najvitalnijih institucija, da se spriječi daljnje dislociranje te da se one vrate gradu.
- da se održi glavna funkcija grada, kao općine, koji je grad Jajce imao do 2004 godine.
- da se izvrši ravnomjerna raspodjela prihoda između kantona, namijenjena za održavanje gore navedenih kabineta, jer se u protivnom javlja rizik za nepotrebno preopterećenje drugih općina.
Ovo je ujedno i poruka nas Jajčana Jajčanima širom svijeta kao i svima koji vole ovaj grad da damo svoj glas.

In the period from the end of the war in Bosnia-Herzegovina uptil now, Jajce has been object to drastical changes and different terrible events.The latest that has appalled whole town is the dislocation of the most important institutions, vital for the functioning of this town; hospital, the muncipality court and many other institutions, are no longer situated in Jajce,.They are part of other muncipalities, such as Bugojno and Novi Travnik.
The consequences of this unbeliavable acts are chatastrophic. The inhabitants of the former very successful regional centre, town with rich and enviable past and valuable natural ressources, live on the edge of poverty and misery. Crime and coruption rate is very high, the youth of the town has no prospects for the future and they succumb under the influence of drugs- drugs criminality is becoming a major problem in Jajce. Lack of activities and control from the authorities in the town only accelerate further degradation of the town.
It was said that silence gives consent – we must not allow that silence, our indifference to the situation destroy our town. As inhabitants of Jajce we are obliged to do everything in our power to stop destruction of our town.
The petition ”Save Jajce” is a part of (un)official portal of Jajce town, www.jajceportal.com which main goal is to help Jajce and change the way of thinking, mentality of people living there so that we jointly try to improve the situation of the town and living conditions for those in Jajce.
We the undersigned demand:
• that the authorities in Jajce as well as the government of Middlebosnia (Srednjebosanski) canton and Government of Bosnia-Herzegovina make concrete –actions regarding the most vital institutions.
• to preserve the main function of the town as a municipality, which Jajce had had before the outbreak of the war.
• to implement an even distribution of the budget between the cantons in Bosnia-Hercegovina, which is proposed to be used for the maintenance of the major institutions. In contrary, the existing risk to the budget overload of the other muncipalities can araise.
This is message to all former and present inhabitants of Jajce but also to all people that love this town, to sign the petitons and help us, help Jajce.
