One great reason cited on giacolettimustgo.com is that attendance is down approximately 1000 fans per game and it looks like it is only going to get worse until we get another coach. I hope Dr. Chris Hill will act NOW so Utah has a better chance of getting a great coach. |

This is the first time in my life when I have been appathetic towards University of Utah basketball and have seriously considered not renewing my season tickets. If a change isn't made soon that is exacty what I will do. |

But for some reason, your instincts about Ray Giacoletti as an up and coming coach just did not work--his record at the previous school was also not impressive. He is not going to turn this team around..there needs to be a major effort to bring an assistant coach, from a winning team to take over at Utah, or the UTES are going to have a very difficult next few years to bring it back to the Majerus era. |

I and my family have been season basketball ticket
holders going back many years. Last year we gave
up our up front tickets costing about $1800 per year
because of Giacoletti. We got talked into buying some partial season tickets this year but we have
been unable to justify such a waste of time because his brand of basketball is so bad. Then I
found out I couldn't give my tickets away.
AND, I and a lot of my family and friends do not intend to buy tickets again until he is gone.
What has happened is really tragic in that as I travel
all over the country I get asked "What has happened at Utah---that such a great program could be allowed to go in the tank?" And, statements like "Once you fall so far its going to be
a hard and long road back -and for a program from
a lesser conference can it ever make it back?
We need a strong and tough coach like we had not
a fashion boy who seems clueless and who is better at organizing preseason shootarounds with
the girls and throwing away well seasoned talent
like Hawkins and Cheney.
I can't imagine how sorry your attendance will be
next year if you don't make a change. There comes
a time in sport coaching when a change in coaches
is the only reinvigorating solution---we are there.
Do your duty for the fans and the University. |

Living in Las Vegas I have seen UNLV fall far into the depths because of administrators pride. The team is not responding and needs to have a coaching change. Who are we going to get that will definately be a savior? Most thought Ray was that person. That's why he got 7 years, which is ridiculous. Chris Hill is the main person to blame in that deal. At least Ray is a decent person, unlike the old Rickster. Oh, but Rick won more games, and that's all that counts, right? I bet this comment won't make it to the good Dr., will it? |
