Sean Reynolds | It's definitely time for change, Utah needs a new basketball coach. Go Utes!
Matthew Marsh |
Adam Beasley |
Austin Whitaker | Fire Giac!
Bryan Mower, President , Western Reporting, Inc. | My concern is his judge of talant. He traded Hawkins, Cheney and Calvin for Misha, Johns and Borha. They are horrible and could not play for Snow College. This is a BIG concern for me and my support of Utah Basketball. In addition, Grant is on scholorship. It bothers me the money spent on recruiting misha with little or no production.

Jeremy Montague | Gaic has lowered our program to an unheard of low. Sure we can win some of the big games, but conference titles and March bids aren't calculated by how many big names you win. Every game counts and it doesn't seem as though he can get our guys up for it. We as fans have had enough and it's time our voices are heard. You are already losing fans and unless something drastic happens you will have a hard time getting them back. Even an assistant in the middle of the year would be good. You can't salvage this season so sending a message NOW and getting rid of Giac should be your best option, at least you'll get some back by interest alone.
James Clegg |
Nathan Busch | Time to make a change in order to protect the good name of the school.
Craig Chytraus |
THOMAS MATHEWS JR | Please fire Ray Giacoletti!!!
John Jordison |
Adam Bowen |
Kason Burgess | I think Coach Giacoletti is a great guy but the unfortunate downturn in the program is more than I can take. Best Wishes to Coach Giac and his future.
Nathan Shill |
Jacob Johnsen | Please. I cannot handle this horrible play.
Brian Smithson | Give me back my U!
Derek Cornaby |
Greg Soper | The team has not shown any ability to improve under Ray. Ray can't seem to get these kids (Who seem to have enough talent) to really go out and play hard for him. Something must change.
| 25 | Jason McDonald | My parents are life long season ticket holders (almost since the JMHC opened). For the first time in my life, my dad mentioned to me last month that he is wondering if it might be time to buy Jazz tickets instead of U of U B-ball.
Please stop the erosion of the fanbase and do something to inject some enthusiasm and optimism back into the program by making a coaching change soon. Giacoletti has more then shown he is incompetent and has the program going in the wrong direction. Right the ship before it is too late! |
Terry Harper |
Grey M. Lusty | I'm sorry, but Giac must go.
Gary Arndt | Embarassed even in Northern Idaho
Gary TIngey |
Scott Hatch |
Brian Bowman |
Eric Freeman | Giac has single-handedly run this program into the ground. We need to stop the bleeding.

Mike Zack | We deserve better
C.R.England | Giac must go!!!!
Anonymous | Giacoletti has a really talented basketball team but he does not know how to win games, if Utah had a better coach we would have a much better record

Alex Wiles |
Anonymous | Has absolutely no defensive philosophy what so ever. One good season at eastern washington does make him a good replacement for Majerus.
Paul Berg | The status of our basketball program is both embarrasing and troubling. It appears to have reached a "near bottom" position. It is not "too soon" to act immediately.
Richard Harkness | Ray must go he does not know Jack. Give me a break to destroy such a storied program. My family gave up its seats when ESPN kept showing the Utes at 10pm we were going to renew our tickets but if this is the product Chris Hill is going to put on the floor I will upgrade my football tickets.
| 44 | Dustin Tate | Amen to everything said. Giacoletti is the epitome of a coach who was put in because of who he knows, rather than what he knows.
Restore the U basketball program. Good bye, Giac. |
Justin Johnsen | I am a graduate of the U, and I am in the process of moving back. I will be joining the crimson club, and getting season tickets to both football, and basketball. I will always support the programs. However, it is abundantly clear that Giac doesn't have what it takes to run a successfull program. Please fire him NOW!
William Loutensock | Giacoletti was carried by Bogut his first year. Ever since his teams have played with absolutely no passion or discipline. His teams are painful to watch. It is painful going to games!
Pat |
Dan Thomas | Give him one more year, I'm hoping to get better season tickets.
david randle |
| 50 | james munro | I love UofU basketball, but this team and last
year's are severe underachievers. It's coaching,
there are plenty of teams with young players,
at least you can make them defend and bench
them if they make stupid mistakes. |
