Simers is nothing but LIABILITY to what should be one of the most respected papers in the world, and a COMPLETE EMBARRASSMENT to the city of LA and to the field of journalism. In an arena that includes the tradition of inspiring, relevant writers like Jim Murray, it is totally inappropriate to even include this Simers clown's name in the same cyberspace, let alone this comment or even one sentence. He doesn't deserve any attention or feedback at all, but being stuck with his emphasized column in the Times, I have to say he is an ABSOLUTELY PATHETIC excuse for a writer. I don't care about him on a personal level, his writing and presence at the Times is simply unacceptable. In a city like Los Angeles where there is such a serious need for unity and positivity, Simers is a VILE and CALCULATING CANCER. It is frustrating trying to make a stand against him because like the psychology of a problematic child, he craves the only kind of attention that he can create, which is clearly NEGATIVE. Who ever is in a position of authority at the Times must think this garbage is somehow drawing readers, enjoy your stint hurting our local athletes and insulting our intelligent citizens. In closing, to the Times executives: We (the overwhelming majority) don't want him, clean him up or get rid of him. That is unless you are proud of having what should be one of the most respected papers in the world being referred to as a "rag". This whole situation is a REALLY BAD JOKE... |
