| 1354 | Matthew Turczyn | Please, for the good of the team, resign. |
| 1355 | Ryan Tarchalski | When is this idiot going to be held accountable? |
| 1356 | Tom Swartz | FOR 4 YEARS I HAVE HAD A OFFICIAL NFL LIONS JERSEY WITH THE NUMBER 0 AND READS NEXTYEAR ON THE BACK . ENOUGH SAID? |
| 1357 | Anonymous | Mr. Ford, I can appreciate loyalty. I have a loyal wife, two loyal dogs and am in turn loyal to them and my friends. But the Lions head office job should not be about friendships. It should not be about keeping a guy around who pisses down your neck and tells you it's raining in springtime and that makes the flowers grow. Matt Millen has shown a level of incompetency at his position that few in the professional sports world ever has or could. He has been here for more years than one of your cars lasts on the road here in Michigan. This should be about business and winning. Matt has no business being here, because he can't win. A .304 batting average is good in baseball, but not in football. Even your boy knew enough to step down from the CEO spot at Ford when he knew he couldn't do the job. Matt's too stupid, we all know that. Make the decision for him and cut the embilical cord he has to your wallet and mind. |
| 1358 | Kevin Asbury | Who needs a G.M. that hasn't a clue how to build a real football team. It is real nice having impact players like Williams and Jones but they are useless until they get some line protection. The defensive and offensive lines are probably the laughing stock of the NFL. You would think Millen Being a lineman would appreciate and understand the importance of having good linemen. Most things good or bad that happen in football occur because of line play. Fire Millen yesterday, he's clueless. |
| 1359 | Ron Leuty | Either fire Matt Millen -- showing a commitment to hiring someone who can make a difference -- or sell the team. There has been one constant over the past 45-plus years: The Fords have owned the mediocre-or-worse Lions. |

| 1361 | jim borden | |
| 1362 | Sack Millen | Lions need to do something, and he hasn't helped. |
| 1363 | Anonymous | Mr. Ford,
Enough is enough. If the 31-81 record, draft busts, millions of wasted dollars, national media disgrace, fan outrage, embarassing coaching behavior and lack of accountability don't push you over the edge, then I suppose nothing will. I don't really even care if the team wins or loses anymore. I am completely apathetic, except when it comes to Millen. As the second highest paid executive in the NFL, professionalism should be tantamount to an organization's success. However, Millen has repeatedly shown in media, fan, and on field interaction that he is incapable of even a semblence of professional decorum. Evidence can be seen in his consistently smug demeanor, inability to assess talent at the every level of personnel, and cowardice at his refusal to grant interviews, among a myriad of other discretions. A professional sports franchise carries a measure of public trust as it occupies and has been built with public funding (stadiums, parking, etc.). Millen has voided that trust and has earned the title Former...as in Former President and General Manager of the Detroit Lions. Please make the right call. |
| 1364 | Jim Silsby | Time to man up Millen and quit. |
| 1365 | Trevor D'Aigle | |
| 1366 | Brett S. | It's called accountability. The Lions haven't had a winning season since Millen has been here. Let's not forget that he inherited a 9-7 team that was one play away from being a playoff team. One playoff win in 50 years...it's time for some serious changes to be made to this organization, and they must start at the top. |
| 1367 | Alan MacNichol | This will probably have no real impact, but I feel better expressing my dissatisfaction with the current regime and their lack of leadership. I'm curious how many other fans feel passionate enough to sign this.
If only we had an owner that actually cared. |
| 1368 | RH | Please for the love of God put him out of his misery. Watching him perpetually make terrible personnel and talent issues is killing us! Shawn Merriman or Derrick Johnson sure woulda made alot more sense than Mike Williams. He thought he out smarted everyone by taking the best player available instead of going with need ... well it turns out we NEED alot of things. Anybody else think it made sense for a team so depleted of talent and depth to take a QB in the second round instead of what everyone on Earth thought we needed ... David Harris who fell to our pick?!?! This is insance and I cannot believe the Ford's have their head in the sand. Do they not see that everyone in the league is laughing at them?
Mike Ditka summed it up perfectly when he said "I sure hope they dont run their car company like they run this football team. That's why I don't drive a Ford ... I can't take that chance!" Enough Said!!! |
| 1369 | mick | FIRE THE BUM, NOW!!!! |
| 1370 | Robert Campbell | |
| 1371 | Antoni Valenti | Just save the orginization the money and quit already |
| 1372 | Todd L. | If Matt were an actual man he would resign and spare the fords from firing him. However something has to happen! Fords - PLEASE fire Millen, or sell the team to Toyota. |
| 1373 | Nathan Franklin | Please...? |
| 1374 | bennie | |
| 1375 | Thomas W. Oliver | I have been thinking this for years. When a team is this bad, for this long, you have to look at the guy who is driving the bus. |
| 1376 | Anonymous | Fire Millen!!! |
| 1377 | Anonymous | I WANT TO WIN |
| 1378 | J A Lawson | The News and Free Press should demand Millen be fired and fWCF sell the team with front page headlines of every issue until someone wakes up. |
| 1379 | Adam Vipond | |
| 1380 | Pissed Off | Matt Millen you are a scumbag. You know you're way over your head. You know you absolutely suck as a GM. You know you're too stupid for the job. Quit taking advantage of that old man and his money. |

| 1382 | Gary Osepchuk | |
| 1383 | Anonymous | We need a leader and Matt isn't the right one. |
| 1384 | Chuck Warren | this is so frustrating to watch someone who has proven time and time again, that he has no clue how to run a pro team, Plz satisfy we the fans plea to get this idoit out of town. |
| 1385 | Patrick M | Matt Millen is the worst GM in all sports; past, present, and future. There will never again be any one as inept and useless on a job as he has been. and yet, he STILL GETS PAID!?!? Wake up Ford; this guy is the worst thing that has happened to this team since...
The true scapeoat has to be Millen. Please, show that you actually CARE about the team and the fans and PLEASE, fire Millen! |
| 1386 | David M. Lewis | FIRE MILLEN!!!! |
| 1387 | Bob Waligora | If Matt Millen knows anything about football, he would know enought to realize that he is incompetent as a GM |
| 1388 | Steve Banko | Fire Millen! Quit Millen!
Something needs to happen. How can a guy that heads an NFL Franchise be this horrible?
It's sickening and infuriating that a President/GM can have a record of 31-81 and still be employed. My 7 year old son could probably have done a better job and the sad part is that isn't even a joke. Lets try to end the embarrasment and lets fire Millen Immediately! |
| 1389 | Blaine Kuneman | The lions were 8-8 the season before Millen came in, and they made the playoffs five times in the 1990's. Nothing big came of it, but atleast we had a competitive team to watch. |
| 1390 | JT | HURRY!!! |
| 1391 | Derek Frisk | |

| 1396 | Bill Sevelot | |
| 1397 | Joe Theismann | Matt Millen, you stink! You're blowing it for all former players who want to be GMs one day. I could do a way better job than your sorry ass! |
| 1398 | Deacon Jones | I could drink a quart of vodka and out-manage Matt Millen! |

| 1400 | Jeffrey Holzhausen | I'm a season-ticket holding sucker and I still can't believe it. |
