Joan Dwyer | I was a loyal fan for many years. You changed the time in NYC to 10am & I stopped watching. Still watch all other CBS soaps, but your ads just don't help me coming back.
| 352 | Anonymous | They have systematically and tragically destroyed the show I have been watching for 30 + years!!!!!
GET RID OF THEM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |
Erin Helms |
maggie waterstraat | guiding light needs to stay with the history of the show and stop changing the behavior of the charactersthat we know and love.also make sure that every actor or actress gets a chance to shine instead of just a few.
Janice McConnell | EW is REALLY out of touch with the fans and arrogant as well.
Jana Sangy | They have killed the show!!
Maureen |
Jodi Finton | time to stop those 2 from killing my beloved GL
Jodi Finton | time to stop those 2 from killing my beloved GL
Ryan D Cable | Would like to see this show rise in the ratings again and the characters like Harley and Reva who have been on there for years to be written as they once were.
MARY BAKER | For the first time since I watched Guiding Light in the 1960's with my Mom I have stopped watching Guiding Light. The integrity of every character has been permanently destroyed by the spiralling decline of an unfortunate series of writers, executive producers over the last 8 years. Such a waste of the talent of the veteran actors we grew to love. Miss the entire Bauer family especially, the Marlers and Philip Spaulding. Josh's relationship with Reva's sister under any circumstances - especially when Reva was dealing with facing her death from cancer is the most damaging course any writing staff has taken - completely destroyed our beloved Guiding Light.
sam mallak |
Tim Wright | I feel that these people cant create stories for great characters, the writing is horrible, and all the best characters are written out such as Holly, Alan Michel. This is the longest show on tv but, its the only soap without core black characters Its embarasing for me to watch it when my relatives ask qwhere are the black characters
Annie Hauschildt | This show has lost a lot, needs to go a different direction!
B. A. Thompson |
Chris Brown |

ava | i will never look at GL again until these two are gone . ruimed a great show. got rid of great character.great actors.
Anna Medeiros |
Maureen |
DEANNA MOOSE | BRING BACK THE REAL JOSH AND REVEA....
DEANNA MOOSE | Please bring back the REAL JOSH AND REVA
Paulette Patterson | I am fed up with the boring storylines.Especially what the have done to Josh/Reva/Cassie
Linda Meier | I think the direction the show is going is all wrong. The original character of Cassie would not do this to her sister.
Cindy Weller | They have ruined the show!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! This is some of the worst writing since I started watching some 30 years ago.
Jill Payne | They are KILLING this show and it seems to be on purpose. I'm a huge Jeva fan and the writing of Reva's cancer story was abysmal. What a perfect opportunity to not only showcase Kim's talent, but to show how the strength of family love and help with someone's recovery.
PBart | I was once a dedicated fan. So much that I got my husband hooked. I still tape every day BUT I can actually say that I have at least two weeks taped and I am not the least bit interested what is on each one. I might see parts once in a while but the dedicated fan is gone and EW and DK its all your fault!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lori Losey | All the emmy nominations went to their head. They let too many big charaters go and destroyed a great turn around for guiding light ratings.
Ben | They have destroyed this show and should be left go.
Anonymous | Why is Cassie on practically every day. Is she their love child? Why not use Vanessa or Olivia or even Reva more. Get rid of EW and DK they are ruining the show and I'm done with it. I am boycotting all products that are sponsored. It might not do a darn thing but I will anyway.
Anonymous | Fire these two PRONTO CBS!!
John Blanks | Well Guiding Lights ratings have fell again and CBS still has done nothing. The pairing of Josh and Cassie is ridiculous.
Virginia | Way to destroy GL History!
Tammy | I have been watching GL for 22 years and now I only watch on some Thursday and Friday. I'm getting where I don't watch at all now.
Tammy | I've been watching GL for 22 years. I would have to record it because I worked during the day. I would watch it at night. Now due to the split of Josh and Reva and the way they are doing the SL, I really don't care if I watch it or not. If I'm home and I think about it I might turn it on. If not then I don't worry with it. I might watch it once a week now. Thank you so much for killing the best show of all.
| 386 | Anonymous | The show is in the toilet and it's Ellen Wheeler and David Kreizman's fault.
Only 40 people don't like Josh and Cassie together? DELUSIONAL there Ms. Wheeler. You are RUINING great characters and a once-great show. |
| 387 | Tavarious J. Veal | Like so many other Guiding Light fanatics such as myself, I too want to see Guiding Light return to its former glory days. Guiding Light not only shares a unique history, being the longest running program on television, but is a true cornerstone in the history of the soap opera genre. In my opinion, both Ellen Wheele and David Kreizman have had about three years or so to help Guiding Light out of the slump it has been in over the course of a decade. Seriously, CBS and Procter & Gamble need to cut their losses and hire a new executive producer worthy of producing and a new head writer worthy of writing.
Sincerely, fed-up viewer |
Anonymous | I too am disgusted with some of the storylines. I have been watching for over 20 years. I will quit if Josh marries Cassie.

Jakub | Please save GL. This show is sweet. Ellen and David destroy this long-running show.
Anonymous | After 70 years and it takes this amaturish duet a few months to turn this SOAP into a joke. Writing stupid storylines...Unrealistic plots; questionable dialogue...Great talent wasted and then all the filler crap on Wednesdays. We get 3 1/2 shows with 1 hour Wednesdays of fluffy junk and then running around the country doing good deeds. Why not a documentary ONCE on the stories of helping neighborhoods and produce 5 days of good storylines. You might see ratings go UP. What a concept...Marketshare!

Meg | I agree! They're ruining all the good romance on Guiding Light, all the couples. Stop ruining a once passionate/interesting soap opera!
Anonymous | I WILL NO LONGER WATCH GUIDING LIGHT WHEN JOSH MARRIES CASSIE. I AM DONE WITH THIS SHOW!!!!
Carissa Winslow | Something needs to be done about the poor storylines.
Bryan Kelly | While at times the show can be good, overall, the writing is poor, and stories dropped, and nothing makes sense. Bring back the glory days of The Dobsons, Pam Long, or Richard Culliton. Thanks.
