| 751 | JOHN M. DRISCOLL | please, stop oak islands or southport anneation along long beach road, |
| 752 | Bobby L. Stanley | Forced annexation has plagued North Carolina long enough, dragging our constitutional rights through the mud. I strongly disagree with this law, which does far more than take away citizen rights, but demeans the people in the process, such as allowing public meetings for residents to speak against annexation after the area has already been annexed. Greensboro is currently annexing many parts of its surrounding area creating extra funds for its own benefit at the cost of those who do not need city resources. Why should we suffer with Greensboro? It is too late for my area to be saved from such an atrocity, but hopefully this law can be amended for other North Carolina residents. Considering that only seven states allow forced annexation, its high time North Carolina lowers that number to six. |

| 755 | Cynthia E. Stanley | We have lived in Colfax all of our life. Now I am told that we are to be annexed into Greensboro. We own the family farm which joins the two acres that our house is on. The farm is in the middle of the annexation for Greensboro. It is not being annexed because it does not meet the requirements but our house is being annexed even though it joins the other acreage. Greensboro cannot offer us sewer or water but they certainly can send us a tax bill to finance their overspending. We should at least have a vote in annexation. I totally agree that we need reform in the annexation laws. |

do the job we elected our officals to do. |

| 766 | Kenneth | We have got to stop annexation in N.C. I moved off of Oak Island about 5 yrs ago and now they are trying to annex where we moved to. We were sick of the political BS that goes on in the town. I am going to be sick if this is allowed to happen. |

| 770 | Carlos Faulborn | Annexation will mean Tax Revenue for Oak Island to be spent on unnessecessary projects which
DO NOT benefit our community.
We strongly suggest blocking of this unfair proposal. |

I own aprox. 40 acres in side their extraterritoral limits. All the city can do is raise my taxes. The city has no benifits to offer me. |

| 784 | Danny Storie | After 20 years of my life fighting for my country in the Army I never in a million years would have thought now I would be fighting to keep what is my dream home that I worked all my life for....This type of law is so wrong...thats why 92% of the United States did away with it. North Carolina needs to join them and say NO MORE will we let some city come in a destroy your land, your home for the sole purpose to get your tas dollars.....
The City OF Asheboro City Manager said this when ask why: Because We Can...It real bad when our City Council Members are wearing hats from the company that they hired to destroy our land........and our Mayor thinks its a joke....
I am asking for you to step up to the plate and stop this...Stop letting this happen to hard working people that are just trying to get buy..
Its hard times and we don't need this....I can't afford this and if done I will have to sale my home of 12 years...Is that fair to me and my family, just so the city can get more of my tax dollars and on by thye way...BRAG ABOUT IT..........
God Bless

| 785 | Kelly Harris | Please act now to stop this practice of forced annexation.
Thank you! |
| 786 | Joe Gentry | There should be, at least, a vote allowed by the proposed annexed residents. |
| 787 | Chris Griffin | |
| 788 | charles a. peterson | I feel forced annexation without the vote of the affected citizens is wrong. Those that are annexed without the need for city services and with a vote on it is unconstitutional and should be outlawed. If 90% of the United States does not have forced annexation that it is something that should be voted on by the people that will be affected. If our representatives realy want to represent the citizens than they will let the citizens have thier freedom to chose annexation like the rest of the United States. |
