We, the undersigned, endorse the following petition:
INCREASE FUNDING FOR PUBLIC SCHOOLS IN KANSAS
Sponsor: Kansas Families United for Public Education
TO: The Governor, House of Representatives and Senate of Kansas
We say "YES" to restoring revenues for the public schools throughout the state of Kansas. We will not accept deficits in our children's educational future.
Kansas has a long and proud history of support for public education. Our schools have enjoyed a reputation for excellence, but that reputation is now at risk. Schools all over Kansas are being forced to cut back on teachers, staff, supplies, and services, and to increase class sizes to unacceptable levels.
We urge you to make public education a top priority during this legislative session.
Good public schools are the cornerstone of a community's strong economic climate. They provide an educated pool of workers, help maintain family farming and the value of real estate, and attract new businesses and families to our area.
The children and youth of Kansas are our most precious resource. They are our future and must not be short-changed in their education. |

Kansas Families United for Public Education is a grassroots organization comprised of parents and other concerned taxpayers advocating the increased funding of Kansas public schools. We are requesting that the members of the Kansas state Legislature and the Governor restore revenues in order to fund our public schools.
