| 1251 | Donna Naughton | I am writing to protest regarding reducing funding dollars to FNTI.
This has been and still is the organization , where I learned about my identity and they were instrumental in my healing from past abuse issues. FNTI staff and elders enabled me to deal with my pain in a safe environment and only then was I able to move forward in my life and attain my goals.
I am a current student and will be finishing my degree this year. I hope to continue my education into the masters program so it is imperative that FNTI funding be increased not decreased.
There are many First Nations women out there who are dealing with identity issues because of the assimilation process. This program is needed not only because of its Aboriginal content but also it is delivered in an Aboriginal way. |

| 1262 | Laurel Day | Aboriginal Post Secondary Education delivered by FNTI has proven itself to be successful by the number of degree graduates in its Public Administration Program alone. FNTI has been recognized by the Ontario Government as closing that post secondary education gap that mainstream postsecondary instuitutions have failed to do so. The Ontario Government must provide that same operational funding and equity that it affords to other post secondary instuitions. |

| 1285 | Lisa McDonald | FNTI has proven itself to be a credible and crucial institution for First Nation people trying to further their education. Many currently enrolled students such as myself would be devastated if our classes were to be cancelled due to lack of funding. |

| 1290 | Anonymous | I believe that this would be a great opportunity for alot of people to further themselves in their life, so please keep these doors open in order for people to have the chance to take that opportunity. FNTI have provided great help to people that have no money to go towards their education and if FNTI are no longer there then they may feel that there is no other option for help. Please keep these doors open for they do make a difference. |

1) Continued high rates of WELFARE, or;
2) EDUCATION where First Nation people will be enabled to help our own to get into the job force? |
