Remove Sasho Windfeather And Supporters From FC/AAE

This is a petition to call for the resignation and dismissal of Sasho Windfeather as well as those members of the AAE board who voted for him, and permanent restriction from serving in any further official capacity with Further Confusion or Anthropomorphic Arts and Education, Inc.

Anthropomorphic Arts and Education, a California 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, enacted a policy in its bylaws which states that anyone convicted of a felony may not serve in any official capacity representing AAE or FC. This policy resulted in direct dismissal of a number of long term volunteers with a felony conviction on their record who were at the time serving in staff roles for Further Confusion.

Sasho, aka Timothy Retzlaff, has not been formally convicted on any charges in any of the alleged incidents of assault, including one as recent as March 2012. The board of AAE knew of this and the other incidents, and knowingly and willingly selected him to be chairperson for the Further Confusion 2015 event.

A copy of the police narrative report of the March 2012 incident as filed by Tempe Police Department can be found here: http://bit.ly/1aN7XPf

A boycott is called on Further Confusion and Anthropomorphic Arts and Education, Inc., until Sasho Windfeather and the members of the AAE board who voted in a corrupt and hypocritical manner for his bid to become chairperson of FC2015 resign their positions.

We further ask that Anthropomorphic Arts and Education, Inc. open for public scrutiny any board meeting minutes involving and including the recorded vote for chairperson and vice chairperson of the Further Confusion 2015 event.

Petition highlights

  • Tim "Sasho" Retzlaff has stepped down as chairperson of Further Confusion as of July 11, 2014. Jeff "Dax" Bowman will be stepping up as chairperson, and Sean "Smackjackal" Wally will be co-chair. http://www.furtherconfusion.org/an-announcement-for-fc2015/ Thank you to everyone who signed the petition, and helped bring awareness of the issue on various social media channels and mailing lists. Domestic abuse might be a private matter to some, but when someone becomes the public figure of an organization and flagrantly openly admit to their actions and otherwise brazenly escape justice for their actions, it becomes everyone's business.
