liz nareyTo Ruth, this could really impact on the devastating effects that emissions are having in our world. If we all felt able to travel cheaply, safely and cleanly it would help alleviate the effects of global warming. My life as a teacher was spent for thirty years trying to help young ones learn re-cycling skills, wildlife preservation and habitat study I always wanted science teachers to teach as if this was their mission to avert environmental pollution but I guess I was ahead of my time and the lady teacher in the loo looked at me as if I was mad when I asked her if she was aware she was affecting the ozone by using a hairspray!! Oh Ruth keep up the good work it still is a beautiful world, lets do our bit to keep it that way, kind regards, liz

Lionel CartlidgeThis is already successful in Wales so why not extend to the rest of the UK
P E TomkinsonThe times for the bus pass prohibit all but the occasional use by passengers in rural areas.
john bamforthAbsolutely correct, particularly in the current economic climate where price hikes are outstripping income. This is more so for Senior Citizens who have very little opportunity left to increase their income.

Margaret WalwynI live in Wales and have free bus pass because I am disabled, next year I qualify as an OAP. When my disabled husband was alive the buses were not suitable for wheelchairs so we had to use the train which was sometimes difficult but we had to purchase a yearly disabled railcard and pay train fares. Difficult as we were both unable to work, me because I became his full time carer on ICA and had about £40 week.

DOROTHY BLAKELEYBoth my husband and I would like the Government to know that whilst we appreciate the Bus Passes for England, how much better would it be if it were to cover the whole of the U.K.
