To Ruth Kelly, Minister of Transport
While welcoming the new England-wide pensioners' bus passes, we urge the Government to extend the scheme as follows:
EXTEND the bus pass to include rail travel;
EXTEND coverage of the pass to travel throughout the entire UK, including Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales;
EXTEND the hours the pass may be used to before the present 9.30am watershed, to permit free bus and rail travel 24/7.
