51 Tracy Johnson-KnorrThis program should be immediately replaced. It is ineffective at preparing our children for advanced mathematics.
52 Linda MeyerI would like to see this program removed. Thanks for trying. I've contacted a BOE member from another Morris County town - Jill Gladstone - who is and has been fighting this in their schools. She may be a good contact for you: JillzGlad@aol.com. I got her contact info thru this article - http://www.nj.com/news/ledger/index.ssf?/news/ledger/stories/jersey01242007haslett.html I wish you success in this endeavor!

58 Christopher WestrickOur BOE owes a duty to our children to continually review all programs, particularly those as new and controversial as EM. Our children will benefit from the open debate, and the defensive stance by the BOE on this issue is alarming.

68 Kelly PapaI have been thoroughly dissatisfied with the Everyday Math Program. And unfortunately we won't know the true effect on our children until it is too late.

70 Eileen HaniganAs a grandmother of two children in the Washington Township K-8 system, I am very much in favor of having Jim LiaBraaten review the EveryDay Math program as I worry about it's applicability in the future.

73 Becky New-HorvilleI would appreciate more information.
74 Lee Ann KernIn spite of the teachers best intentions to inform parents and "make the program work". My concerns remain: this should have been introduced to the children at the primary grades-not intorduced at 7th grade. I also feel that the children should have part of their program dedicated to basic skill instruction.
75 AnonymousThis program is definitely not helping our students be prepared for high school math.

79 AnonymousWhat a crock! Everyone knows this is all political posturing by LiaBraatan, Roehrich, and Frenchman. Pardon my French, but Everyday Math is working great!
80 AnonymousI really dislike the Everyday Math program. Every time my daughter is close to understanding and mastering a concept, they move on to something else. I also think some of the concepts are much too advanced for her grade level.

90 AnonymousI work at the Kumon Math and Learning Center of Chester, NJ and we have kids come in all the time whose parents complain of this program. We often have sixth or seventh graders who are struggling in math at school and must go back to learning multiplication before moving on to more advanced work.

93 AnonymousI feel that this program is very confusing for children with learning disabilities. The one thing I really like about the program is how the skills sre reviewed throughout the year.

99 Scott F. KolvekI have been very displeased with the overall education of my daughter. She rarely if ever gets assigned homework and the concept of children working in groups/teams during class time to learn math is alarming (to say the least). I will be happy to also show up and support you in your efforts. (not just in the math area). Scott F. Kolvek, PE, MBA, MIS
