| 5 | Kevin Vitale | Providing our children with an excellent education environment at the high school level is the absolutely critical and should be our first priority. Current planning is shortsighted and illogical by adding new homes and feeder schools at the elementary and middle school levels without adding upper school capacity. 1000’s of children will be stranded and parents are being forced to make tough decisions as early as 4th or 5th grade to ensure a spot in a private high school. This is a downward spiral for public education and an unreasonable financial burden for parents.
Homeowners should also clue into the increased value that good schools bring to their property. Consider the premium that Los Gatos, Saratoga and Cupertino enjoy in their property value due to highly ranked schools.
We need to take action now! |

| 16 | Brenda Franca-Serpa | Please do not cheat our teens out of a memorable high school experience by forcing them to attend overcrowded high schools here in Evergreen. |

| 18 | Aneel Choppa | Our schools are already very crowded. With all the new proposed development, this area is going to be very crowded, which will cause further crowded schools, too much traffic etc... With the land being very scarse in evergreen area, it is very important to plan for new high school before they make any new construction. So, I strongly support for the allocation of land and plan for the new high school development. |

| 28 | Dena Miller | Give me a break!!! There are so many elementary schools in Evergreen already, some that were even going to close down due to smaller occupancy. Why are they only concerned about over crowding the youngsters? As stated above...where do they expect this youngsters to go when it's time for high school? As a life long Resident of Evergreen and a graduate of SC and mother of a Silver Creek student now ,its time to provide more amenities (like another high school) for the many thousands of residents that we currently have and provide for them. Please stop builiding houses!!! Does anyone on the committee even live or have to drive on our beyond ridiculously over crowded roads? Ever try to get onto 101 from Capitol Expy in the morning.....? |

| 39 | Anonymous | Just adding 3 new K-6/8 schools is going to make the over crowded High-school situation worse. So I am for building a New High school in our area |

| 45 | Greg Gaches | I applaud the Evergreen East Hills Vision Strategy Task Force for their efforts in obtaining land for a new high school. Currently, there only two plausible high school options for families living in the Silver Creek Valley area. Either we send our children to a private school, which is not desirable for most, or we move to areas with better high school choices (i.e., Cupertino, Los Gatos, Saratoga, etc.).
I know many families who have already made the choice to leave our community. There are many more young families that are queuing up to leave our community as this debate continues. For those of us with younger children, the hopes of remaining a part of this community are waning with each passing day.
I hope the Task Forces efforts to obtain the land are realized, a plan to build a high school is drafted, and ground is broke rapidly. If not, many more superb families will continue to leave our community, including mine. |
