Dadla Ponizil | Either we're right and we prevent a catastrophe or we're wrong and reduce pollution, build better transportation systems, more energy efficient homes, and a stronger, healthier community.
Curt Wittenberg | Please endorse and strive to comply with the recommendations of the Blue Ribbon Environmental Committee Report of 2002. Encinitas is a gem that deserves to be conserved. We are fortunate to live in this community and should maintain and improve it so that it is a source of pride for future generations and contributes in a positive way to world wide sustainability.
Francine Busby | It is incumbent upon each of us as individuals and as a community of concerned citizens to proactively protect our environment, preserve our natural resources and conserve our energy use. As a citizen of Encinitas, I urge you to lead the way in our city.

Charlie Johnson | I would like the City of Encinitas initiate a water conservation program that includes the sale of rain barrels for homeowner water collection. I strongly encourage a recycling mandate for building construction materials, 90% of which can be recycled rather than becoming landfill. The City of Encinitas should provide a free hazardous material collection station. Currently, residents must drive to Vista on Saturday only between 11am-4pm, or pay $10 for home collection. Many people choose to throw away their toxic waste to avoid the drive or the fee.

Cecilia and Douglas Jolly | The "greener" we are the more we will look like a tourist destination rather than an extention of a city, aka, as a suburb. Tourists do not spend vacation dollars to come to a suburb, but rather a place with a distinct personality - The Flower Capital!! Be true to our recent history and it will take us to a successful & graceful future.

San Diego County Coastal Cities need to band together and cooperate to protect our common environment along our common ocean beaches and I-5 by committing to "Going Green".
