| 1007 | As a member of a family with three generations of skaters, I beg you to save this historically significant rink and help save the sport. In a time when we are hearing constantly about how important it is to stay fit, skating is more important than ever - it burns about 400 calories per hour, more than most other sports. We don't need another store - but we do need to save such a valuable and unreplaceable treasure. Skating's popularity comes and goes in cycles, and I believe we are on the edge of an "up" cycle, judging from the number of cars I am seeing in the local rink parking lot lately and the number of commercials and music video's showcasing quad skating. NY has always been a trendsetter - please lead this upward trend! |

| 1013 | yes i think its messed up that there taking all our roller skating rings away i loved going to empire and now my friends and I do not have a place to just go roller skating and have fun listing to all the music and stuff just chillin if your not gonna bring back empire atleast build another more advanced ring in new york city manhattan, queens or brooklyn. alot of us still love to skate and just have a good time please build us a roller skating ring that plays hott music and has a stand that sells good food at a good price please |
