I is good for the kids to be inside skating than on the streets getting hurt. Also it is a good active exersice for adults, and children obesity is # 1 in our nation which leads to many other health issues. Please reopen to the public! |

I have Four children every saturday they attended there session, I also had my children brithday party there.also my family members had party's there. I currently live in Staten Island, My nine year old and i go skating every weekend. Theres not much to do on the week-ends this was a form of Entertainment for the children. thiers not much Entertainment for children, For them to take that away from the children was crowl. what do our kids have to look forward to? |
| 986 | A few of my collegues were having a conversation about rollerskating. All of us grew up in Brooklyn and are now living in PA. I was surprised that the rink still exsisted. We all have fond memories. It will be a tremendous loss if it were destroyed. There are not many landmarks that have a positve history like Empire for all cultures. Keep hope alive! |

| 996 | I came to new york from London in 1976, I started attending Empire skating ring in 1980. This is the skating ring that when saturday and sundays came you went skating and stayed there all afternoon. My parents was happy i like to skate. They can drop you off and come back a five or five thiry and they knew you was there. My kids have been to the ring with me, and there is no other family entertainment center that i can enjoy my self, and let my kids experience of how much exercise we can accomplish with out going to a gym. |
