| 456 | When you hear about owners selling buildings, it is mostly a money issue, I hope that is not the main reason. I feel that the people of the community are not being taken into consideration. Our young people need this rink as an outlet, so many of them are already on the streets without proper supervision. You might feel you are not a babysitting establishment, but it takes a village to raise a child, and Empire is part of that village it takes to keep our young ones as well as adults doing things that help in a mental and physical capacity. If you must sell the properity, sell it to someone who would keep it as a rink. Get some of the celebrities involved. They saved the Apollo, and in my opinion, Empire should get the same reconigtion, it is equally important to many as is the Apollo. |

| 490 | All I have to say is that closing Empire down would be as big of a mistake as closing down the Roxy!!! Why would NY get rid of something with so much history? Not to mention the fact that Empire would be the only full time skating rink in NY?!?!? I do not fancy the thought of having to go to all different lengths of NJ or any other state to enjoy what this place has to offer?! I don't know what the replacement plans are for Empire, but they need to be scrapped without a revisit. Keep Empire Alive!!! |

| 493 | I have been attending since I was 12 years old , i am now 30 years old and I now take my kids to empire roller skating on Saturdays. Empire is a great recreational center for the adults , teens and kids and everyone with or without kids should try to stop it's closing !!!! |
