AS YOU MAY HAVE HEARD, EMPIRE ROLLER SKATING RINK HAS BEEN SOLD AND IS SCHEDULED TO CLOSE THIS SPRING. A NATIONAL HISTORIC VENUE WILL SOON BE.....HISTORY.
EMPIRE IS A GREAT SOURCE OF ENTERTAINMENT FOR CHILDREN AND TEENS; A "FITNESS CENTER" THAT NOT ONLY EXERCISES BUT DEVELOPS SOCIAL SKILLS AND CULTIVATES PERSONAL GROWTH AND RESPONSIBILITY.
EMPIRE IS A VITAL FUNDRAISING RESOURCE FOR CHURCHES, NON-PROFITS AND COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS. MANY HAVE BENEFITED FROM THESE CHARITABLE EVENTS.

WE ARE A DIVERSE GROUP OF SKATERS THAT TAKE PRIDE IN THE COMMON BOND THAT WE SHARE. IT IS THIS INDIVIDUALITY THAT GIVES EMPIRE ITS UNIQUE APPEAL. CLOSING THIS 70+ YEAR VENUE, WOULD BE A GREAT LOSS TO SKATE-ENTHUSIASTS ALL ACROSS THE GLOBE. WE NEED SKATE VENUES IN NYC.(THE CITY THAT HAS EVERYTHING?)
ROLLER-SKATING IS A PROMINENT ACTIVITY IN NY.
FILM, TELEVISION, BROADWAY, ADVERTISMENTS, MUSIC VIDEOS, PARADES AND MORE...
