| 414 | Brian | Tobin | MI | US | In my opinion, "Salt In The Rainbow" (at least the 3 and a half minute "fade" version that, ironically, omits the third verse with the title in it, but is far superior to the other versions I've heard) is on of the most beautiful songs I've ever heard...an amazing piece, complex yet simple (basically a 2 chord song)...STUNNING.
As for "Virus", all I can say is that just about EVERYONE I've played it for, Duran Duran fan or not, thinks it's a kick-ass song. I swear it could have changed Astronaut's fortunes in the U.S. if it had been included AND released as the first single, or at least as a single at all. Actually, I feel the same way about "Last Day On Earth" in relation to Pop Trash. People don't even believe me when I tell them it's Duran Duran (I never tell them until they've heard the song first). I even had someone guess is was Queensryche (I swear to god)! They're blown away by that song even more consistently than "Virus," but that's too late to be remedied (unless a re-recording could be in the future). In any event, back to the subject: Please, Duran Duran, show your ass-kicking versatility to the non-believers! Put these songs on a bonus version of Astronaut, or at least an E.P. You guys are the best! |

| 430 | Ryan WJ | Fox | | GB | If anyone looks at this and wants these songs then i suggest you take a look at ebay and you'll find the astronaut demos CD via a uk seller (link at end) because i'm afraid after plodding around certain emails to certain Duran sites you can safely say that these Demos (Just like Libertys Demos) are dead, especially now Andy has gone and now the band has gone off in another direction.
