It has been four years that is more than enough time for him to have turned this program around. i thought after last year that we had turned the corner and after this year it seems i was mistaken. i know we have young talent on the team but it is still talent and our coach should be able to harness that talent and take us to the greatness that we expect. |

Many people, present and future, will be affected by your decision, i.e., players, coaches,students, alumni, sponsors, etc. Many schools with a winning tradition follow a simple risk/reward analysis that when the coach accepts the position the message must be fair and clear: either you perform to a certain percentage or you must make room for someone else. Nothing personal - just business. Perhaps the percentages may be higher for this coach at another school which will preserve his record, character and dignity. U.C.L.A. students worked very hard to get in, stay in and graduate. We all knew the risks. Expecting more from our school is something we always knew made U.C.L.A. perhaps the best in the nation.
