3401 George SmithWe at U.S. VETS provide a safe and sober clinically supported housing where our Heroes can work on getting employment and eliminating whatever barriers they may have to success. Our goal is to assist the Vets in the rebuilding of their lives and becoming a productive member of society. We are not only the Leader in helping our Veterans, but we have expanded to 11 sites across the nation. We serve Vets from 21 years old to 91 and are now getting those returning from Iraq. We would like to recruit you to help us help them. Mainly by spreading the Word whenever possible to any Vet you may run across that needs a little Help. Some other ways you may help is thru donations of money, furniture, clothing, Computers....it's all tax deductible. (We are a 5013c non-profit) or stop by and Volunteer at one of our locations. 3412 ZarliThey do need better care. We shouldn't be there in the first place. & they're all so young.

3415 Ben PattiSomething needs to be done now. Our VA system and the way the government has handled this makes me sick.
3416 Keith Black
3417 Jackie MooreI think it is also important to note the suicide rate of these returning troops and the lack of care they recieve when they reach out. My brother attempted suicide because the VA would not admit him. He has a brain injury and PTSD. He served in Iraq three times and was awarded a purple heart. For his trouble he has been bounced around in the system and the paper trial is a mess. On Monday he went to the VA hospital. He was sleep deprived, annoyed from a constant ringing in his ear(do to his hearing loss from Iraq), and suicidal. They turned him away and told him they would make him an appiontment in 30 days. This morning he tried to kill himself. He jumped off a building. He is alive but we have no idea what his true medical state will be. This is why we need to improve the process.

3423 MartinThis is outrageous! Sending all those people, literally, waste their lives in a useless war whose imaginary objectives were fed into the minds of a gullible population and now those survivors coming back can’t even get the care and the treatment they earned and fully deserved for sacrificing their health, lives and future under the command of our great leader who would have never fought a war himself but was happy to play soldier with real people! 2974 victims on 9/11 versus 3847 casualties and 27004 wounded in Iraq and that’s only counting the US toll (9/2007). Now if a terrorist organization wanted to mess with us and achieve this kind of results, could they have possibly done better than that? Especially considering that no f*****g gain has been achieved by waging that war. Who the hell was Sadam? The main terrorist is still at large and shooting videos promoting himself while we are hated in Iraq and looking for a way out with minimum embarrassment. What democracy? They go nothing! Is it going to be a secular country and for how long? What’s going to prevent a civil war and the rise of another hell over there? Was there really a point to all this? Give our soldiers the care and help that was stolen from them by lying to them and abusing their services in sending them over there!

3445 Eric W. JohnsonI'm a veteran from the 80's and I am totally amazed and proud of the courage, strength and determination of today's American soldiers and marines. My son fought with the 82nd Airborne in 2003-2004 in OIF. I fully understand the need to help and support these men and women who have returned home and their families. Thank you for your efforts to get more people to help. Eric Johnson
3446 April ScottHaven't we been through enough. It is time we start taking care of our brave heroes and their families.
3447 Anonymousthank you fellow soldiers and thank you drowning pool.
3448 PaigeWhile I don't support the war in the Middle East - and never will - That doesn't mean I can't support the brave, fearless people who go over there to help those people. I admire their determination and their selflessness - something I know I'll never have. They know they are part of the solution, of something bigger than they are, and in that understanding, I think they should receive any support from the people they are defending and helping. As an aspiring psychiatrist, I look at the numbers and are disgusted to see what is happening to the bravest and strongest of us. It's something I'm going to dedicate in my work.
3449 derekthanks for what yall are doing. I am Sgt. Reeves from 101st and are going through alot of the problems that you guys are petitioning. I am a huge fan also!!! Anyways thank you...
