AnonymousI am saddened and angered that Don must go through this ordeal. Its a terrible shame that the mildly political Justice department has been perverted to become a political tool of whoever is in office. Of course republicans are concerned if they lose the next election, they have set a standard that can only haunt them.
Fran ClampittI worked on your Child Care Partnership while you were Gov. I regret what you and your family have been put through by an unjust legal system. My family has also been put through a system that is broken and run by substandard lawyers that are only interested in the amount of thier paychecks not the truth. I voted for you, I believe in your innocence and hope you will be able to fight this regretable and horrific time in your lives. The newscast of you being removed from the courtroom without Lori saying goodbye put me over the edge. I felt so helpless and knew that could have been me. I do not have much money I am fighting cancer but I hope the few dollars I send will help a little. Do not give up there are so many people that believe Carl Rove is behind all this. I am an advocate, learning my skills from the FOCAL Organization out of Montgomery and I will e-mail amd call anyone that it will help. I wish you and your family the best and will keep you in my prayers.
AnonymousThis is an absolute outrage and our country has been stolen from us through personal political executions. Ii is a crime that rove and othewrs can just denie subpeonas, come on??

AnonymousRove must testify or go to prison for his contempt of Congress!
Sarah SmithI agree with the above comment! What gives some people the privilege to ignore Congress and the subpoenas? Why can some of the friends of this adminstration claim "executive priviledge?" When Don Siegelman had to go to prison for no more than any other political person has done with the giving of a contribution. When someone gives a contribution to a candidate, if that person is best suited for the position, then they are appointed for that position. There was no quid pro quo. That's the way it has always been in the political field for as long as there has been politics. This man should not have been sent to prison or treated the way that he was! Hopefully the 11th Circuit will look at this case in regards to the facts and the law.

Nick Bassanoafter watching the documentry I was literally sick. The bush admin, and more so Karl Rove are disgusting human beings who tarnish our great nation
Henry J. Cittone, Esq.
Tommy HodgesDon Siegelman should be a free man and Karl Rove should be the man in prison.
Eva RitcheyIf Gov. Siegelman was targeted and incarcerated for political reasons, could I be next?
Gayla WynnIf you believe in our system of justice, if you believe in the separation of powers, if you believe in the Constitution, Rove must be compelled to testify as any other "normal" American would be.

PI NortonLet's have a special prosecutor investigate theDon Siegelman persecution. The DOJ is run by neocon anti-Constitutional attack dogs. We need an independant investigation to root out the perpetrators of this political travesty.

Robert HardingAs a citizen of a red county in New York, I know how hard it is and the scrutiny that is given to Democrats in red areas. Don Siegelman is the most extreme case, however. The actions taken on Don Siegelman is a crime itself and those who ruined Don Siegelman's good name should be brought to justice.

Douglas GoodallI think Karl Rove needs to stand up and face the music about his behavior. His willingness to ignore the wishes of congress amaze me. I understand he ust left the country unexpectedly to avoid having to testify. This cannot be allowed to happen this way. Please do something about this.
randall jensengov siegelman was a great gov,and was railroaded. he would of been a vice president some day,he has shown that he was put in prison wrong, keep him out of prison,if riley was not involved he should parden him
Rev. Jack ZylmanThe lottery was to be for education -- Siegelman got not one cent from it! I was there for the trial and sentencing and both were prosecutorial shams. Free Don Siegelman!

colura lindseyfree an innocent man. I know him and he is a good man . Please put Karl Rove in jail
William CrainDo the Right Thing
Rita McCarthyDon Sieglman is innocent and you must bring a full investigation foward to free him of all charges.
Maggie RichardsCongress needs to wake up & start prosecuting the real criminals like Bush, Cheney, Rice, ROVE, etc. To say that this country has gone to hell in a handbasket under this shyster administration is putting it mildly. Don Siegelman was one of the most honest governors that Alabama has ever had. Now the state is stuck with an illegally installed governor and his own crime family. Perfect for george bush, disgusting for the state of Alabama and the country.
