Other countries are already using it as a regular medication. Approval would sustain those from the daily agony of the symptoms of Gastroparesis (GP). You would not want your worst enemy to endure the torture of this 24-7 uncurable illness. With the diabetic population increasing this is critical. |

So consider this approval as improving the environment in many ways. Babies can breastfeed more successfully and the rate of irritability in postpartum Moms will be far more tolerable for the rest of us! |

We were shocked to see doctors prescribe Raglan for morning sickness. Doctors prescribe Raglan because there aren't alternatives due to the FDA. We pay a big price when you have gastroparesis and other diabetic problems to order it at full cost out of Canada. Domperidone is used around the world. Please approve this drug and ease the financial burden the FDA has created. It will also allow a safe choice for people with gastroparesis.

Both derived some benefit from Reglan, but experienced troubling, dose-limiting side effects. Our GI specialist connected us with a compounding pharmacy, which prepares a liquid solution of domperidone. For the past few months, we have treated our younger son with domperidone and observed remarkable benefits with no apparent side effects. When on Reglan and an antacid, he was vomiting at least once a day. Since initiating domperidone, his appetite and weight have increased, and it has been months since he vomited. Miraculous!
The only downside is that we must pay $50 monthly for his domperidone prescription: ten times what we pay for a monthly supply of generic, but far inferior metoclopramide for our other son.
I strongly believe that the widespread use of domperidone outside of the United States and its track record of proven safety and efficacy should warrant FDA approval. |

My mother suffered dibilitating side effects from Reglan which currently is the only medication available for people suffering from diabetic gastroparesis. Her neurologist diagnosed her with Parkinson's from what he was seeing. After I got her off the Reglan and onto the Domperidone all Parkinson's like symtoms vanished. Please provide people a healthier alternative. |
