| 558 | KARLA | FERGUSON-HODGES | VA | US | I have had idiopathic gastroparesis for four years and this is the only medicine that helps. It is a shame that it is so expensive, from having to buy it from Canada. I am severely allergic to Reglan which also can be used for gastroparesis. But of course it is FDA approved. Everytime I have to order more, I check to see if it has been approved yet. And always the answer is No. It isn't fair, I am 28 and have to live with this for the remainder of my life. Thank you for taking the time to read this, maybe one day it will help.

Michael | Berger | MI | US | The FDA has become destructive. My daughter needs this medicine and can't get it because of a bunch of self serving arrogant beaurocrats. May the head of the FDA get GP.
gaynelle | ayers | VA | US | I am 57 and have been diagnosed with gastroparesis. I've been miserable for 5 years. Other drugs that doctor have prescribed have not worked. I need help. Why can't I depend on the doctors from my own country to help and advise with the best medications.
Linda | Mathison-Ezieme | LA | US |
Gwyn | Ferguson | AR | US |
Linda | Barrett | OH | US | FDA needs to do it's research before deeming a drug dangerous. There are many very dangerous drugs that are routinely given to pregnant and breastfeeding women. Domperidone is not one of these.
sharon | wood | TX | US |
Karla | Zambonino | NY | US | I would have never been able to breastfeed my baby without it... After trying everyting I tried domperidone, and it increased my milk supply.
jasmine | webster | | CA | its about time domperidone gets approved
Elizabeth | Biesemeyer | MO | US |
Mike | Clapper | NC | US |
Amber | Krisky | OR | US | Get a clue!! Do some clinical studies, talk to doctors who have been prescribing this for years. What alternatives do we have, or do you not care about that? I have lost faith in the FDA; it has based its statement on the evidence of IV domperidone, now not even used in the US. Shame on you! Now everyone who needs it will be forced to take other means to get it!
| 572 | Roxana | Smarandache | CA | US | I had reflux and gastro-intestinal problems for months and no medication prescribed in US helped. It made it worse actually. While in Europe this winter, I was prescribed Domperidone and my problems were finally and amazingly relieved. I felt I was finally on the way to healing. I'm back in US and I realized that it is not an approved drug here, so I am unable to continue the treatment. My conditions (difficulty in breathing the whole time mainly) are back.

James | Ploudre | MO | US |
Rebekah | Branch | VA | US | I find it abominable that the FDA is allowing Wyeth a monopoly on this market!
Joanne E. | Byers | OR | US | Dr. prescribed Reglan, it has adverse affects, disgusting stuff. Domperidone is known to have few side effects and be successful in controlling GP. Am desparate, losing weight, and can't sleep.
Martha | Brown | MD | US |
Marilena | RIxford | CA | US | My milk supply dropped noticeably by the time my baby reached his 5th month. Since I was very adimant about breastfeeding for at least the first year, I tried every single non-prescription remedy I have heard of, from Fenugreek, to Mother's Milk, to pumping countless times a day, nothing helped. At that point I decided to try Domperidome Motillum-M and I was very happy with the results. My milk supply never got to what is was and I still need to supplement with formula, but if it was not for Domperidome I might have stopped breastfeeding all together. I experienced no bad side effects and I believe this drug should be made available to all nursing mothers from their doctors.
Esther | Oppliger | KS | US |
Melissa | Rannow | WI | US | Ignorance is our enemy!
Brenda | Phipps | AZ | US | It is a shame that such a benign drug that has helped so many women has been taken off the market. This drug has had far FEWER side effects than its American couterpart, Reglan, and should be allowed to be used. The study used to make this decision was faulty, as it compared IV use of Domperidone to the bad side effects, and IV use is never even used. Please put Domperidone back in our compounding pharmacies!!!
Edith | Davidson | PA | US | As an LC, I am particularly interested in seeing that breastfeeding mothers have access to this drug. Reglan does have more side effects, and is reportedly not as effective.
Paul | Brewer | CA | US |

Laura | Combemale | SC | US | My father is dying because this drug is not available in the United States. This drug is used in most developed countries, including France and Belgium to alleviate the symtoms of Gastoparesis after gastroectomy. The success is well documented. My father is literally starving to death in a hospital bed because he is unable to obtain this drug to reduce his nausea and improve his stomach motility. Please make this drug available for the people who truly need it, and can benefit from it. My father's weight before surgery was 140 pounds, after 4 weeks of Gastroparesis he is now a startling 104 pounds.

Julia | Workman | OH | US | From my understanding domperidone not strongly helps GP,, But also milk production. And I also undeerstand many, many lactating mothers have and are currently using doperidome and no incidents have been reported. So it's obviously not as bad as the fda warns!
