| 502 | Elaine | Sebald | IL | US | My 17-year-old daughter has had gastroparesis for two years. It is very hard to control, and greatly impacts her quality of life and ability to keep up with schoolwork. She tried Reglan but experienced motor abnormalities. Her doctor switched her to domperidone, which we get either from a compounding pharmacy or from Canada. It isn't entirely successful, but it gives her some measure of control over her symptoms without noticeable side effects. It is essential to her ability to maintain a somewhat normal routine. If she had to manage without the domperidone, she would not have any hope of functioning normally day to day. We should depend on our doctors to use their professional judgement in prescribing domperidone. Please don't withhold it from people who desperately need it. |

Nothing worked for my gstroparesis with out disabling side effects until I ordered domperidome from Canada. Now my life is tollerable and eating with out severe discomfort is possible. It is ashame patients in the USA are denied this effective treatment that has few or no side effects. I hope it can be made availible to patients in the USA

| 532 | Heather | Lightle | NM | US | Without Domperidone, I never would have been able to breastfeed my son until he turned 1 - which the AAP recommends as the MINIMUM length to nurse. Please - get the formula makers hands out of your pockets, and see something more than the almighty dollar. Your decision is affecting real people - and real people's (babies) futures. |
| 533 | Vicki | Roy | ME | US | I am an IBCLC and have used Domperidome with wonderful results with our breastfeeding Moms. When Relgan and herbal remedies have failed to improve a Mom's milk supply, Domperidome has sometimes doubled Mom's output. I have never had a Mom with any side effects beyond a mild headache occasionally. Please pursue evidence based research studies to prove the safe use of this medication for lactating women. They deperately need to succeed with nursing their infants and this is the only med that helps. Thank you. |
