Elizabeth Dole, pull your latest attack ad

The petition

Dear Senator Dole,

You recently released an attack ad against your opponent, State Senator Kay Hagan. The ad begins with Hagan being portrayed as a yipping dog. We can only draw one conclusion--that you are calling your opponent a "bitch."

This is grossly inappropriate on several levels. It would never be acceptable for a male politician to refer to a female politician in this manner, and it should not be acceptable for a female politician to refer to another female in this manner either. To say this is beneath the dignity of a United States Senator would be an understatement.

We, the undersigned, hope you have the decency to pull this ad and apologize to Hagan.
