LeHigh Direct Health and Safety Negligence

This petition is to inform and notify OSHA and the local 458-gm Graphic arts union of negligence on behalf of the company Lehigh Direct. Simple measures and precautions could be provided by Lehigh, but they chose not to spend the time or effort in protecting their employees. As a result of their incompetence, I Dan Miles was exposed to a chemical named Permanent Free Radical Release (UV glue). In result I have developed Pre-Cancer Melanoma and can never return to the company as an employee due to sever sensitivity. Men and women who work with this chemical need to realize that you become sensitized to this product over time. This is not a chemical in which you either are, or are not sensitive. I have undergone many personal investigations on this product and have uncovered some serious facts. First, Lehigh uses more than one type of UV and yet there is only one MSDS (Material Safety and Data Sheet). Secondly, the company fails to comply with literally every single warning listed on this chemical. For example, you are supposed to use this chemical in good ventilation and not exceed 90 degrees when using or storing this product. Lehigh has no ventilation system or air condition, and stores this chemical wherever it pleases. This is just one of the many warnings that Lehigh has failed to comply with. In Closing I am urging that all local 458-3M union members take a good hard look at the possibility of being exposed over and over. Our health is at risk! Please sign this petition, if anyone has any question please feel free to E-mail me.
