Divest University of Colorado

The petition

In the past three years over 400,000 civilians have been killed in Darfur, Sudan and 2.5 million are displaced and in the path of genocide. The international community has failed to stop these atrocities. Now we are taking direct action to end the genocide.

As members of the University of Colorado community, we demand that the University divest from targeted companies that are providing revenue for genocide and providing little or no assistance to Sudanese civilians.

We also ask that the Universitym following a precedent set by divestment from South Africa, set up a scholarship fund for Sudanese refugees. The University shall donate one dollar for every dollar donated by University of Colorado students, faculty, and staff.
