Dan Rappoport | How can anyone be so narrow-minded? Why doesn't he do a little bit of reading about what Autism is before he comes on the air and makes these stupid remarks? It's no wonder that there is predjudice, still, in this country about hiring people with disabilities, years after the Americans with Disabilities Act was passed. How are we supposed to support ourselves amid such narrow-mindedness when we don't even have an obvious disability?

Joan Anderson | As a parent of an adult son with autism and a school district autism consultant, I am appalled at Michael Savage's remarks. My son had autism a long time ago and still has it: it is NOT the result of bad parentlng or missing fathers. He should be fired for his hurtful and ignorant remarks and I intend to stop using products from advertisers who stay with him.

Sherri Taylor | I am a licensed mental health professional. Mr. Savage's remarks do not belie his name. He must be stopped.
Kathy Hardie-Williams | Words are very powerful and can be very hurtful and damaging. In addition, words cannot be taken back. People (especially those in the public eye) need to make it their job to remember to 'think before they speak'. I'm glad I had the opportunity to be a part of this petition.
chelsea carswell | Autism is easy spoke about but untill you know and live with someone who has been dignosed with Autism dont speak as if the parents are the reason for there medical behavior. My MOTHER and STEPFATHER have done anything and everything for my younger brother who HAS AUTISM.
Marc Rosen | As an autistic man and activist, I'm appalled that anyone could say something so blatantly stupid on the airwaves. If he doesn't apologize, kick his ass off the air!

Bob Haugh | Obnoxious and Ignorance defines Michael Savage
Samantha | My 5-year-old son cannot speak, use the toilet, or dress himself. But he's not an "idiot", or a "moron". His life, and our lives, will never be normal. He has a father who fully participates in his life. My son does not get a cent from Social Security. But most of all, we love him. Shame on Michael Savage.
Dawn Edwards | Savage has NO CLUE... And should not be misinforming the public.

Cindy Quigley | The statements Michael Wiener made really do not surprise or shock me. This is a man that allowed his own brother to die in a "snake-pit" mental institution. I really would not expect any intelligent to ever come out of the mouth of a man like this. That is why it is important to stop all sponsorship of his program.
Leslie Behrendsen | My great-nephew is autistic, and believe me it has nothing to do with disciplining him!!! I would think one would become more informed before mouthing off against a condition they know nothing about!
Anonymous | How absolutely ignorant. Only someone without any knowledge to back up such ignorant rants could speak with such arrogance. I will definately boycott anyone who sponsers such a program. I am a married, working mom with a son who does not have autism. I have $ to spend and will chose those companies who do not support such ignorance.
| 336 | Anonymous | It's not freedom of speech, it's lies and propaganda, and it's OUR public airwaves. Everyone should hit trn's public record with comments and make sure it's very hard for them to get their frequencies allocated and license renewed.
We the people are tired of the lies. |

Chari Wilder | I have spent the last 15 years working with autistic children. The remarks of Michael Weiner only illustrate his enormous disability to operate as a thinking and feeling human being. He is handicapped in the ignorance he has chosen. No more attention should be given to him.
Shawn Smith | I think this man should have a child with a disability such as Autism and see exactly what we as parents go through every day. He would not last 5 min.
Anonymous | One a friend of a person who has two children with autism, I can say the disease is real. This man should be ashamed.
Luc Jolicoeur | My son is autistic. Savage is full of it. He should be fired and never rehired for the reest of his life
peopleweaver | As a grandparent of an Aspie child I am hurt and offended by this so called adult's remarks and intend to boycott his sponsors.
