I had terrible effects of joint pain, weight gain, depression, lost sex drive, memory loss, and personality changes. It is nearly 7 years later and these effects have not gone away. The long-term effects of Lupron have not been tested and the medical community is assuming they do not exist. I would much rather have my endometriosis pain back than all these side-effects. |

I got this as preventative treatment for breast cancer, causing me to go into and induced menopause. This is a terrible drug and nobody should take it. Belief me I speak from experience. I was diagnosed with breast cancer at 33 and went through over a year of chemotherapy. The chemotherapy was more bearable than what I deal with now. I am forgetful and endlessly tired. I either alternate between extended hot flashes and sweaty chills. I have Over the last 7 months I have suffered through incredible pain, my feet hurt, my back hurts, I ache allover. I have vision interuptions and dry eyes. I have had allergy like symtoms and feel this has lowered my immune systems resistance overall. Depression, suicidal thoughts, incredible anxiety, palpitations, coughing, numbness and tingling are all difficult to deal with by themselves but put them all together and you simply have unbearable. That is what my life is becoming. I have also gained 15 lbs. I have decided to stop the lupron shots and really feel that my Dr. has hurt me by giving me this drug. My quality of life has been severely affected. |
